Baan Serene Thai Massage was one of the most peaceful massage experiences I’ve had in Bangkok. Tucked away next to a golf driving range (and beside what appears to be a children’s daycare that’s quiet in the evenings), it’s surprisingly tranquil, something that’s not always easy to find in such a busy city. The entrance is along a long, dimly lit pathway, but don’t let that worry you. The signs are clear and easy to follow, and once you arrive, you’ll find a beautiful, relaxing setting. After checking in and paying at the reception, you’re given the standard massage shirt and pants to change into before being taken to a separate massage building. They have both private rooms and couple’s rooms, making it a great choice whether you’re visiting alone or with someone. The massages themselves were excellent, and Soft piano music played throughout the session, and while enjoying the massage, we were looking out at lush greenery instead of busy city streets. It created a calm, almost resort-like feeling that made it easy to completely relax. If you’re looking for a quiet, high quality massage in Bangkok with a peaceful setting and a relaxing atmosphere, I highly recommend Baan Serene Thai Massage. I got the foot, shoulder and neck massage for 90 minutes it cost 800
Today I went to this massage parlor for a 2-hour Thai massage to relieve pain. The shop looked nice and quiet, but there were a lot of masseuses there, and the massage wasn't good at all. I kept falling asleep during the massage. I was uncomfortable and worried that the masseuse would fall asleep and press the wrong pressure points, making the pain worse. After 1 hour, I asked to get dressed and leave, telling the masseuse, "Madam, please get enough rest." I was very disappointed and felt like I wasted my time. When I told the cashier, they said they had chosen the best masseuse for me. If this masseuse is the best for this shop, I won't be using their services again. I'm very disappointed.
Three of us went for a massage in a VIP room. The masseur was male and seemed inexperienced. He massaged our legs strangely, using weird techniques. I've been getting massages for over 10 years and have never encountered a leg massage like that. The more he massaged, the more tired my legs became. He put my legs on his and pressed down with his elbow, massaging haphazardly. And we booked for two hours – what bad luck! Those considering this place should think carefully. You might get unlucky and encounter a bad masseur. It's a shame considering they've been open for decades.
