I now have back pain! I've had several Thai massages in Thailand, so I have some idea of ​​how they should be done and feel. This one was truly the worst I've ever had. I booked the deep-tissue massage for 600 baht, hoping to relieve some old aches and pains. Unfortunately, the woman who massaged me had absolutely no clue about massage or anatomy. If she did, she hid it very well. She rubbed hard and repeatedly between my shoulder blades, pressing on tendons and rubbing the muscle in uncomfortable directions. Her focus was exclusively on the area between my shoulder blades, not on the full-body massage I had booked. I was told it would be done with fingers, but for the majority of the 55 minutes, she used her elbows and forearms. Since I now have back and neck pain every day for five days, I definitely would not recommend this "massage." Due to the language barrier, I could only tell her to a limited extent if something made me uncomfortable or if I had imagined something different.
