After returning to our hotel, the ladies decided to get a manicure and found a nearby place called Siam Heng Heng Thai Massage. At first, I really didn’t want to give this place a 1-star review, but there’s a reason behind it. It was already nighttime, and we had a scheduled late dinner at our hotel. When we found this parlor, we clearly asked if they could cater to both my wife and Hazel at the same time, and the lady (the one holding the placard in the photo) confidently said yes. Because of that, we already planned our time knowing that if both could be done together, we’d still make it for our dinner. So I went back to the hotel to relax while waiting for them. Not long after, my wife called me, and I could tell something was wrong. She told me that despite what they said earlier, they only had one person available to do manicures, meaning they had to take turns. Hazel was already frustrated, and rightly so they shouldn’t have said yes if they couldn’t handle two clients at once. Yes, we could have done it the next day, but the issue is that we planned everything around their confirmation. If we had known they couldn’t cater both, we would have just cancelled it and saved our time for dinner. When I went back to check, it was already late and because of the delay, we almost missed our dinner. Thankfully, the hotel still accommodated us, but we only had around five minutes to eat. It was such a disappointing experience. Both the lady with the placard and the one in the short black polo shirt were the ones involved. Really unfortunate, because if they had just been honest from the start, everything would have gone smoothly. 😞
I came here with my fiancée for a foot massage. The place looked bright and the sofas seemed comfortable, plus they had a happy hour promotion (200 baht/hour), which attracted us. When we arrived, we changed into sandals and washed our feet. Up to that point, the staff were very nice. However, the masseuse who handled me was very rude. She would slap my feet if I didn’t respond to her questions (I just wanted a quiet, relaxing experience) and kept calling me “laopan” (boss), which felt uncomfortable. At the end, I also just knew that the foot massage included a “cracking” session. My neck and back were cracked, it looked satisfying, but it made me uncomfortable. Then why didn't I reject it? Because I didn't know that I was gonna be twisted. She wasn't certificated therapist to crack peoples head thats for sure. I immediately remembered a case of a Thai celebrity who reportedly died after a similar treatment, which made me feel uneasy. In hindsight, I regret not refusing that part. After the session, my masseuse asked for a tip for both of us. After we finished, we paid her directly, but she only returned 500 baht from the cashier and said the rest was for the tip. This felt inappropriate and unprofessional. We came because it was 200 baht, but instead we paid 250 per person 😂 On the other hand, the masseuse who handled my fiancée was very kind and did not ask for any tip at all. Overall, the massage is good but left a disappointing experience. Maybe the shopowner can tell the "rude" masseuse on the photo (right).
First day I was there for foot massage. It was great and I would have given 5 stars. The masseurs who did my foot massage is really good. We gave tips after we done the foot massage. The lady boss is friendly and accommodating. I told the lady boss I will be back for Thai massage and I wanted the same masseurs. Second day I went back for a 2 hours thai massage. But the masseurs I wanted didn’t come to work today. So fine, a random masseurs assigned to my 2 hours thai massage. The whole 2 hours session she is concentrating on ONE THING. Talking. She talk non stop for 2 hours with her colleagues. A full Thai massage session would last two hours and that’s why I booked 2 hours instead of the usual 1 hour. If y’all already experienced before, thai massage includes rhythmic pressing and stretching of the entire body, pulling fingers, toes, ears, cracking knuckles, walking on the recipient's back, by palm-press, thumb-press, fingers-press and forearm-press in many different positions. I didn’t receive any of those positions, cracking & stuff. She is just doing super basic palm pressing. She also purposely take things very slowly because she knew she need to spend 2 hours with me. This is wasting of my time spending 2 hours there receiving such massage standard. I am one very angry customer!
