The shop was minimalist: white walls, concrete floor, and a single track light. No aromatherapy, no music, only the low hum of the air conditioner. The counter was a single black stone surface, upon which sat a sterilizer and a registration book. She leaned against the wall, tying her canvas shoelaces, a thin silver ring tucked into her left ear cartilage, gleaming bluish in the cool light. Her black hair was shaved undercut, the top left long and casually pulled back, revealing her slender neck. She wore a black sports vest, her arms showing light-colored hair, her movements crisp and efficient, as if she had just finished a morning run. My area was in the corner, the mattress thick, the sheets antibacterial. Without any pleasantries, she immediately tested the oil temperature, confirming it was 38 degrees before beginning. Her palms slid from my cervical spine to my hip line, the rhythm quick and precise, incorporating sports rehabilitation techniques, focusing on releasing the hip flexors and hamstrings. When her thumb pressed deep into my piriformis muscle, a jolt of electricity shot down my leg; I unconsciously tensed my toes. She glanced at me, increased the pressure for half a second, and then released it. The entire procedure was as efficient as physical therapy, yet the occasional warmth emanating from her body as she adjusted my posture made the professional experience seem dangerous. At the end, she handed me an ice towel; her silver ring, under the light, was as cold as a knife—sharp, yet inviting.
Hands down the worst experience of this kind I've had in my 4 years in Thailand and that even includes the time a girl was so drunk she threw up. 1) management was rude and aggressive- sent me a Line message with a price then demanded a different price justifying it by waving a sheet with a list of prices at me. I don't care about the price, I care about consistency and clarity of communication and I I dislike being treated like I've done something wrong. Already this would prevent a return visit and if I hadn't had a plane to catch I'd have walked out. 2) they asked if I wanted something to drink while I waited I said water and she told me 100baht. 100baht FOR WATER. I've never had any massage shop try to charge for water- normally they pretty aggressively insist you take it. Water was also not available in the room. 3) management demonstrates no tact. During the price nonsense the lady starts babbling about "shots"... Now I get that some places feel a need to quantify this even though you are paying for X time- but I find it distasteful and makes me feel unwelcome. At that point why call them "ladies"? 4) no selection (there were two) 5) starfish AND tried to say my 90 minutes was up at 45 minutes 6) I WATCHED them refilling the expensive whiskey bottles with LITERALLY WHATEVER was left over. Like, topping off Remy with Sangsom and Hong Thom. To sum up: absolute garbage establishment you are better off in any random soi.
Upon entering, a female staff member immediately guided me to the lobby. Initially, they introduced me to a moderately priced hostess. When I, dressed in a backpacker style with a half-van and soccer uniform, said, "I'd like something higher class," she seemed to be scrutinizing me for a moment, as if to say, "Are you sure you can afford this?" But when I replied, "Yes, yes," she suddenly became very friendly and introduced me to a hostess in the 30,000 baht class. She was, as expected, a stunning beauty with an amazing figure, like a model. I'm not sure if the service was worth the price, but I was satisfied, and in the sense that "since I came all this way," I think it was worth it. As I was leaving, the staff member aggressively pitched, "Next time you come, be sure to find me!" (laughs)
