I had PVC nails placed on Wednesday and by Saturday morning 6 of the nails have already broken off. When the first one fell off on Thursday, I assumed I was being too rough with handling items in my regular day of activities and got it replaced at another salon (left index finger). This salon did a far better job of securing the PVC nail and aligning it to my nail bed. More nails fell off that evening and the following day. I’m sensitive about getting my nails done as the nail beds are small from years of a nail biting habit when I was younger, and I told the nail technician at Kanya that I would need the PVC extensions to be shorter than usual to adjust for what would look aesthetically pleasing for my hands. This seemed to really stump her - she struggled to file my nails into an oval shape and I had to ask for corrections in multiple places. She also did not cut back my cuticles and placed the PVC nails below them - this looks unnatural, not suited to the actual full size of my nail beds. I don’t typically post negative reviews but this really was tremendously disappointing — I have to get these fully redone just four days later. ** EDIT: I do appreciate the response from Kanya's owner. I don't expect a refund for this service. The nail technician who was working on my nails was very kind and professional, and I was her last appointment of the day. I simply would appreciate some notification to customers if nail technicians don't feel confident to meet the request made of them, or are in training. I would have likely still gone ahead with the service even if I was told this. I would feel differently about the outcome though.
I randomly came across this nail shop and I’m so glad I did! They were busy when I first walked in, but kindly booked me in for the next day—and it was absolutely worth the wait. From the moment I arrived, they went above and beyond. I couldn’t decide on a nail colour, and she was so patient and helpful, guiding me to choose something different from my usual. She reassured me the whole time that if I didn’t like it, we could change it—no bother at all—which gave me the confidence to try something new. I felt completely at home. She even took inspiration from 3–4 different pictures and created her own unique design, which turned out better than I could have imagined! The quality of the nails is premium—she took real care with the base, the BIAB, and the colour. At one point she wasn’t happy with the finish on one nail, so she redid it without hesitation, which really shows her attention to detail and standards. I enjoyed it so much that I booked in for a pedicure as well, and that was just as amazing—again, incredible attention to detail. Honestly, I’d recommend this place to everyone!
Lived in several places in Asia and been to Bangkok many times but without a doubt I’ve had the best massages here. In a week time, we visited 3 times and I had the same masseuse every time, she’s literally amazing. I told her about my back pain and knots, and she’s really amazing with pressure and trigger points. Every time I came back, she recognised me and recommended a massage based on where we left off the last time. After 3 visits, I haven’t had any back pain, headaches or migraine since. They even treated us with a cold, fresh coconut after our 3rd visit! My girlfriend also had her nails done here and the result turned out amazing. The prices are fair, and they do everything they can to make you feel as comfortable as possible. She and the other staff are really amazing and friendly people and we highly recommend giving them a visit. I’ve definitely found my go-to massage place and will definitely be back when I’m in Bangkok! Thanks again and see you soon!
