Peace is probably the best place to try good varieties of tea, Japanese and Chinese. This tea house is run by a tea master who knows inside out about Japanese and Chinese teas. The tea selections here are top notch quality. The tea is brewed with careful temperature and procedures. Tea tastes here are superb. The Pastel Idealist Matcha is really delicious with umami taste. The Pastel perfectionist Matcha is even better with a taste from haven. I have never found such a great matcha tea elsewhere. They taste even better than in Japan. For those who cherish Chinese teas, you look for nowhere but here. They carry good quality chinese teas including green and white teas, wulong teas, black (red)tea. I find the tea selections offered here unique and you just can’t find anywhere else. The wulong type alone has many selections to choose from. I personally tried tieguanyin, jinxuan, yashixiang, guifeng dongding, rougui and i must say they are all of highest quality. For green and white teas, I tried anjibaicha, maofeng, yueguangbai. Again, they are of the highest quality. For the black tea (hongcha), i tried jinjunmei. For me, this is probably the best red chinese tea i ever tried. So if you are a tea lover, you really cannot miss this place. For those who start drinking tea, you will find the tea drinking journey here a pleasant one. Two thumbs up!!!

I visited Wa Peace Oriental Tea House. I had imagined it to be a Japanese tea specialty shop, but in fact, it offers a wide range of teas, including not only Japanese but also Chinese teas, allowing me to enjoy the culture of tea in a multifaceted way. What particularly impressed me was how they suggest different flavors based on the drying method of the tea leaves and the processing method. Even within the same genre of tea, the aroma, richness, and aftertaste vary greatly, making it feel completely different from the tea I usually drink. The explanations were thorough, and I was impressed by the lack of any sense of pushing knowledge onto me. The drink menu was more extensive than I expected, and the pairings were well thought out, making it feel like tea time was more of an "experience" than a "drink." The teas are also well-chosen to pair with sweets and light snacks, making it especially recommended for those who want to relax and enjoy their tea. This shop offers new discoveries for tea lovers, as well as coffee drinkers. It's a place I'd like to visit again when I want some quiet time.

Calm and peaceful atmosphere for drinking tea. I sit at the counter bar to watch the staffs brewing various kind of tea. The gongfu cha set is THB 385 for 2-3 people. You'll get a tiny tea pot and a hot water container to pour your own drink. I had Rougui which gave aroma of cinnamon, sweet then bitter at the end. The tea can be poured 3-4 times before it gets less and less flavour. Then I had another cup of fresh Tiaguanyin, much lighter with flower and green grass aroma. Anyway the double glass container kept the drink too hot so I cannot enjoyed this one much as the gongfu cha set. Recommend to come at least 2 people and order the set. The ice cream was yoghurt flavour with sweet/rose aroma sauce at the buttom, pair with 2 cream cheese filling mochis.
