What Google reviewers say about Anothai Massage and Spa Wanglung
Yesterday we were walking around the market and my boyfriend suddenly wanted a massage. We found this place on Google Maps and saw that it had more than 600 reviews, so we decided to try a full-body Thai massage. My boyfriend is a foreigner and quite big in size, while I’m small. The therapist who massaged him had almost no pressure at all, he said it felt more ticklish than relaxing. It was honestly the biggest waste of time massage experience for the both of us! As for me, my therapist pressed way too hard, especially on my shoulders. The pain has continued until today. She was so rough that I had to tell her to skip my head and neck because I was afraid she would press too hard there as well. There was no balance at all! one was too soft, the other was too strong. We decided not to tip this time (we normally always tip), but the experience was genuinely disappointing. Pick your poison guys.
Do NOT go to this shop!!! I regret it so much!!! My colleague and I went there for a foot exfoliation and massage!!! The exfoliation was supposed to be 45 minutes, but they said it was over after about 30 minutes. Then we had a foot massage, and the two female masseuses were incredibly weak, using very light pressure and seemed completely unprofessional. One of them was constantly frowning and chatting with the other masseuse in Thai, not paying any attention at all. I've had massages at many other massage parlors in Thailand, and this is the most unprofessional of all. The skill level is absolutely terrible!!!
Thai massage at Wang Lang Market is quite expensive, but the massage is good. The pressure is quite strong; my boyfriend said his legs and shoulders felt like they were falling apart! Haha. But he likes it here. If you don't like it too strong, you can tell them how strong you want it. We've been here many times. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing. P.S. It's confusing because sometimes we get free hot tea after the massage, but sometimes we don't. I don't know why. 😂 (P.S. I'm a little curious, sometimes after the Thai massage (1.5 hours), we get free hot tea, but sometimes we don't. I don't know why. 😂)
