Best time to visit. Low humidity, clear skies. Book popular spots early — peak tourist season.
This was my second visit, and unfortunately a huge disappointment compared to my first one. The first time I came here, I was very satisfied. I chose a Japanese sports massage priced at 1,800 THB (around 50 EUR) because it was explained to me as a high-quality, deep tissue, sports-focused massage. The therapist knew exactly what she was doing, and I left feeling much better. Today, I came back with more issues in my arms and chest, expecting the same level of professionalism. I was actually impressed at first because they give you a form where you can clearly mark the areas you want to focus on — which I did. However, despite paying a premium price, I was assigned a therapist who clearly had no understanding of sports massage or deep tissue muscle work. The massage was purely relaxation-style, very light, with no technique suitable for muscle problems. I went in with pain and tension, and I left with exactly the same issues. It felt like a complete waste of money, especially for such an expensive service. The place itself is very nice and well-presented, but based on this experience, not all therapists are at the same professional level. My advice to anyone considering this studio: make sure to ask specifically about the therapist’s experience and skills, especially if you are paying for a sports or deep tissue massage. Very disappointing.
I have tried many Thai massage places in Bangkok, from regular shops to more professional-level massage places. Because I have office syndrome and a lot of tension in my hips, back and legs, most Thai massages only helped a little or felt good for a short time, but didn’t really solve the problem. Then I found the Seitai massage, and I have to say: this treatment is really different. The therapist is very professional and seems to understand exactly where the problem areas are. It’s not just a random massage — they press the right points, stretch the areas that need it, and focus on the muscles and tension that actually cause the discomfort. After the treatment I can clearly feel an improvement. My body feels more balanced, more relaxed, and the pressure in the problem areas is much better. For anyone with office syndrome, hip tension, back pain or deep muscle tightness, I can really recommend this place. Very professional, effective and definitely one of the best massage experiences I’ve had in Bangkok.
I went to get a foot scrub here last week and the masseuse did a horrible job. She did not even keep her eye on my feet and started scrubbing the skin off the top of my foot. I kept telling her to please only do the bottom part of my feet but she kept sliding the stone to the side and top of my foot. Quite frankly she was unpleasant and had no interest in being there. I finally snapped and told her to pay attention and look that my foot because there was now an open wound. She finally started paying attention and apologized. Fast forward a week later my foot is infected and I have to get a shot. You should train your workers to make your customers feel welcome not stare at them like they are a burden to give service to. That’s how I felt from the moment I started my treatment. She is the lady with short wavy hair and I will never ever go to bear hug again. What a terrible experience.
