I called & booked in advance a 2-hours session of 1200 THB (prepaid at front desk) specifically for therapeutic massage - hoping for some real relief. But turned out to be a very disapponting experience. The masseuse "Jom" applied only light pressure on the specific areas & lacked basic professional therapeutic skill. Why take bookings claiming a qualified therapist was available when that wasn't the case? During the session, although rested with my eyes closed, I was fully aware throughout (only woken once to turn). So can confidently say the massage lacked proper coverage, pressure & skill. After the session, when my husband informed 4-5 staff at the front desk, they even admitted that they hadn't done any background check on this masseuse??! This should never happen at a place like Health Land. As a returning local customer, this was extremely disappointing. I left with no relief at all.. only a meaningless apology. Proper accountability is expected. Called to make an appointment and paid in advance. 1200 baht paid at the front desk for a 2-hour therapeutic massage, hoping for relief, but it was a terrible and wasted experience. The massage therapist, named "Jom," applied light pressure, lacking the necessary skill and precision for a professional therapeutic therapist. Why mislead customers by saying a therapist is available if the massage was inadequate? During the massage, even when I closed my eyes to rest, I remained fully conscious (only woken up once to change positions), confirming the lack of thoroughness, pressure, and expertise. After the massage, my partner informed 4-5 staff members at the counter. They were surprised when one of them admitted that they hadn't checked the background of this particular employee! This is unacceptable for Health Land. As a long-time local customer, I am extremely disappointed. I left the clinic without any relief, receiving only meaningless apologies. There should have been proper accountability.
This is the first Healthland branch that has disappointed me so much in terms of standards. I booked a 90-minute aromatherapy massage for 1,200 baht. I was disappointed from the moment I was greeted, but the massage itself was even more disappointing. It wasn't a relaxing massage at all; it felt like I was just lying there having my arms stroked. The masseuse's tone was indifferent. About halfway through the 90 minutes, the masseuse said something was missing. And yes, there was no music. I agreed, because normally aromatherapy massages are very relaxing and I usually doze off, but today I wasn't happy at all. Before the massage, the staff asked what I wanted to focus on. I said I wanted my legs and feet focused. In the end, I didn't feel any improvement in relaxation compared to before the massage. After the massage, a staff member handed me a tray with a glass of water while I was waiting on a chair outside. I was confused why they didn't put it down beforehand. When they saw I wasn't holding the tray, they asked me, "Would you like a drink?" Seriously, is this the kind of service I expect from someone hired for customer service? Overall, I wasn't happy and didn't feel like I got even half the money I paid. I don't expect any compensation, but I definitely won't be using their services again. (The cartoon bag in the tray isn't mine, and I don't know whose it is.)
As someone who has never had a massage in Thailand I wasn't quite sure what to expect. Reviews have said the staff aren't happy and sometimes the massages aren't very good. Well I've found in life that kindness goes a long way. I was polite, friendly and greeting them in their language and tried to connect. The result was an exceptionally good massage. I asked for a foot massage and that's what I was expecting. What I got was slightly different but very good. They do massage the feet but also the calves, knees, hamstring and quads. It's firm and can be painful. I believe that was because I'm on my feet an extraordinary amount and those areas mentioned were super tight. 45 mins of that work. To finish off to my surprise they work arms, fingers shoulders and palms. Then ask you to sit on the stool so they can work on neck, shoulders, head, scalp and back. If this is a standard "foot massage" then this was next level. For me coming from overseas I found the price to be extremely good. I have read in the reviews that tips are optional and I think they were expecting something. We don't tip in my country but I'm also very mindful of the pay in Thailand so I didn't feel uncomfortably tipping the masseuse. 10/10 massage.
