I visit the major saunas in Bangkok each year. This year, however, the vibe here feels a bit different. The number of foreign visitors (Westerners and South Asians) appears increasing and stable compared to previous years. Over the past two weeks, I’ve visited four times, and each time I’ve noticed roughly the same composition of customer groups. As for the events, I’d say the most memorable one for me is the drag show, which is quite professional. Although I only saw it once this year, it left a strong impression. Regarding the model events, it’s interesting to see they seem to have established a consistent group of models (just like Chatkran and R3). However, the models here have specific and strong preferences compared to other places. Usually, muscular or “twunk” customers are chosen by the muscular/fit models. Some models may also prefer not to be touched. So, if you’re interested in interacting with the models here, please keep that in mind. Also, be respectful toward the models—it’s their work, and if you’re not their type, it’s best to move on politely without pressuring them. To the Owner/Manager: 1. Provide training for models on how to politely turn down customers. Everyone has their own preferences, and since a degree of intimacy is expected in this line of work, some tolerance might be needed. 2. Consider the "SPEC" the models prefer. While we can’t change their preferences, we can balance these preferences to ensure a variety of customer types have the chance to interact with the models. For example, if all the models prefer muscular customers, those who aren’t muscular may feel overlooked. Ensuring a balance in preferences would help appeal to your diverse customer base. 3. Let's face it. Some performers may not be suited to this work. In those cases, finding other models might improve the experience for everyone involved. (Yes! you have to do some quality control)
This sauna is not for the hygiene conscious or germaphobes. They do not provide slippers. As a result, you are barefoot. You could be walking on dirt, pee, or other body fluids. You are stepping on wet floor in the toilet which smells like urine. The unhygienic environment can be a nuisance for some people. I left within 15 minutes after I entered. Terrifying. The admission price is 390 THB. You pay when you leave the premise. Once you walked in, you are given a wristband. The number on the wristband is your locker number too. Head upstairs to access the locker and grab a towel. The locker is big enough for your bag, clothes, and a pair of shoes. The towel is as small as a handkerchief. It is not meant to cover your modesty. There are multiple floors with darkrooms and a gym. On the top floor, there is a swimming pool and a small bar. I visited on a Wednesday night and it is crowded. The age group is around late 20s to 50s. Different nationalities, but primarily Asians. The body types are thin and average - think the most halfhearted gym-goer. This place is certainly unlike similar establishments in European countries. The cleanliness leaves much to be desired.
The place wasn’t as dirty as I expected from some reviews but it wasn’t super clean either. The steam room felt nasty to me because there was action going on in every corner and i felt like it was all over the floor. I went here because some reviews said there to be a 50/50 mix of locals and foreigners and that Saturday was the best day but the foreigners they must have meant are still Asian. It’s a 95% Asian and 5% foreigner (non-asian) crowd which was not my cup of tea. It was very busy on a Saturday night, too busy in my opinion and overcrowded. Most guys were mostly just standing there. There were a few white guys, only one black guy and that was it, no diversity. Another thing that worried me is that it seems condoms are frowned upon and with the lower quality of healthcare in Asia and lack of prep, i couldn’t stop thinking about all the diseases that you could catch in this place. The sauna’s were barely hot enough to be called a sauna and the towel provided is actually the size of a tea towel. Would not return again, it was nothing compared to Sauna’s in the west in terms of quality, attitude, service, hygiene and diversity.
