I think Makkha is undoubtedly beautiful and clean and of the highest hygiene and quality standards. However, I think it’s important nonetheless to not be complacent despite the brand’s every success. At the price point (about 2X-3X that of other places), it should be, in my view, imperative to explain the process of every treatment package selection— for example what does the facial treatment comprise, or what mask are they going to put on your face (like soft mask? Clay mask? Products from Thailand?). I think the brand is definitely successful and the service was good, but at such a price point I think it’s important to not skip important processes— even cheaper places would tell you what a 2-item 120 min package comprises, is it 60-60min or 90-30? or simultaneous? And they’d tell you what the steps are and what products are going to be put on your face, which is what Makkha actually didn’t do— while it doesn’t change the outcome, at a price premium relative to other places in BKK (we paid almost US$140 for two pax), it'd be good if they considered not forgetting to do this. For me personally, I think it's important for the customer to understand what is being put on the face, or whether it is simultaneously or 60mins aroma and 60 mins facial and whether the products are sourced from Thailand strictly or elsewhere. Otherwise, a really great massage place, beautiful atmosphere and great skills, remarkably clean. Exciting experience from reservation to pick up with tuk tuk, till arriving and enjoying the post treatment mango sticky rice. We look forward to our next visit.

Since our hotel, Solaria Nishitetsu, was just within walking distance to Makkha Health & Spa, we decided to book a two-hour session from 8:00 to 10:00 PM — and it turned out to be one of the most relaxing spa experiences we’ve had in Bangkok. We opted for a body scrub and essential oil massage, and the entire team impressed us with their professionalism and warm hospitality. Upon arrival, we were served a welcome drink with a rice cake before starting our session. Each of us was then asked to complete a short health and massage preference form, after which our therapists offered slippers and guided us to our private treatment room. The setting was immaculately clean, cosy, and tranquil, perfect for unwinding. I chose the Lavender scent for both my scrub and essential oil — the fragrance was soothing and pleasant, helping me drift into complete relaxation. I even fell asleep during the massage and only woke when the therapist gently informed me that the session had ended. Afterward, we were served a plate of mango sticky rice with a refreshing drink, along with a short feedback form — a thoughtful finishing touch. Even though it was a weekday, the spa was still quite crowded in the evening, so it’s best to book in advance. Overall, a wonderful and rejuvenating experience. I highly recommend Makkha Health & Spa to anyone looking for a top-quality, relaxing spa service in Bangkok.

We had been here several times before, and until now, the massages had always gone well. However, our last experience was very concerning. My husband entered the massage room wearing his watch, which is visible on the security cameras at the entrance. At the end of the session, the watch was gone. We immediately reported the problem. The room was searched several times, first by the staff and then by us, without success. We then waited about an hour and a half while the video recordings were reviewed. At one point, we noticed that one of the cameras being reviewed was on the wrong floor and asked for the correct camera angles to be checked. We also asked to be able to view the footage. After this long wait, we were advised to go to the police station to file a complaint. It was at that point, when we asked once again to return to the room, that the watch was finally found behind a garbage bag, even though the same room had already been searched several times by the staff and by us. I am not accusing anyone and am simply recounting the facts as they unfolded. However, this handling of the incident deeply disappointed us and spoiled an experience that had been entirely positive up to that point. I simply recommend that future customers remain particularly vigilant with their belongings.
