What Google reviewers say about Ruan Mai Sak Thong Health Massage
A pleasant massage parlor. Extremely quiet and calm. Extremely smiling and helpful staff. Foot massage, and all types of traditional Thai massages. Professional and pampering, quiet and pleasant atmosphere, super reasonable prices. A pleasure, always fun to come back. 17.5.26 A great place that has become a white elephant that is really unpleasant to enter. Sunday evening weekend in a lively area, the place is completely empty. The staff was recently replaced, including the manager. Unpleasant staff who don't know how to relate. It's important to note that we've been there dozens of times and always had a great time. But the last time... a second after we entered, the manager demanded we pay immediately, she was really stressed and very aggressive. The therapists were also very unpleasant. Even though we said we knew the place, they rushed us when I asked to change pants. She followed me to the bathroom and stood to make sure I understood... a terrible feeling. My husband and I told them that their service was unpleasant and from that moment on, the manager really attacked us and asked us to get up from the massage chairs and leave immediately. She returned our payment, of course. I asked her what the name of the place was because I couldn't remember and who I could talk to her manager with. She said she didn't have a manager, even though I know she did and I also know that it's not the only shop in Bangkok. Insincere, violent and unkind attitude. It's a shame for a place that was our home massage almost on a daily basis, we realized that we would never return. The place is empty and it's very clear why. Don't go. Shockingly, the area offers good alternatives.. We were in another and really enjoyed it. They always say that the most important thing is the attitude, which is true. The previous manager and the previous staff were extremely kind and helpful, we always received personal and preferential treatment. I wonder why the entire staff changed. ..The last time we visited the place was a few months ago. We live in Thailand and come to the area a lot. 21.5.25 Let's be precise, there was only one and only one customer on the entrance floor. So what you're saying is not true! Your new staff was stressed and unpleasant to say the least. The new manager is stressed and there was no pressure. And if you really want to wave your security cameras, then take a good look and see that we were there dozens of times in the second half of 2025. We stayed at the hotel right next door and it was very comfortable. Each time I and your staff received a 100thb tip in addition to the cost of the massage. In short, your new staff is disgusting, including the manager of the place. Just don't lie that the place was full. Be precise, it's much more respectful. And you can also admit that the previous staff was amazingly professional, nice and treated the customer perfectly and super politely.
My BF and I spent three days in Thailand, planning mainly to sightsee, shop, and enjoy Thai food. However, after walking nearly 20 km each day, our muscles were sore and our feet were exhausted, so we decided to try a massage. Before choosing this place, I looked up nearby massage shops and read many reviews. This one stood out with its excellent service and the friendly, attentive attitude of the owner and masseurs. I initially planned to try a foot massage while my BF chose a traditional Thai massage. However, when the owner explained that traditional Thai massage is a full-body treatment with stronger pressure, I became curious and decided to try it instead. After paying 250 baht per person for a 1-hour session, the staff guided us to change clothes and lie face down in a private room before the masseurs arrived to begin the treatment. My boyfriend and I received different techniques and pressure levels suitable for men and women. We truly enjoyed the experience. The comfortable and cozy atmosphere, combined with the soothing scent of essential oils, made the session incredibly relaxing. Every muscle felt as if it was being gently healed. At the end of the therapy, the staff served us hot tea in the lobby. I think one hour is perfect for a first experience, but if you want deeper relaxation, you can always choose a longer session or additional services. All the staff members were friendly and enthusiastic. The only small improvement I would suggest is for the masseurs to keep their phones on silent mode, as ringing sounds can disrupt guests during the massage.
I realized through this experience that Google star ratings are not always reliable. Based on my personal experience, I would rate this place below one star. One person in my group was unable to turn their neck properly after the massage. Unfortunately, my own experience was more severe. During the head massage, the therapist repeatedly applied strong pressure to the governing vessel point at the center of my head using their fingernails, while the other fingers pressed into the temples and temporalis area in a way that felt sharp and intrusive rather than therapeutic. The sensation was distressing enough that I asked for the head massage to stop. In addition, during the arm massage, the pressure, frequency, and movements were noticeably inconsistent. One arm received significantly less work, with key movements and pressure almost entirely omitted on one side, which made the treatment feel unbalanced and careless. More than one hour has passed since the session, and I am still experiencing a persistent headache caused by the excessive pressure. I am sharing this in the hope that others can make an informed decision and avoid a similar experience.
