⭐☆☆☆☆ Absolutely the worst experience I’ve ever had at a clinic. I came into The Skin Klinique Bangkok for a consultation about my lips, which had some unevenness. I wasn’t sure whether I needed to dissolve the filler or add a little more, so I was open to the doctor’s recommendation. From the start, there was no warmth or professionalism. I wasn’t met with any friendliness — maybe it was my appearance (I’m a heavily tattooed American), but that shouldn’t matter when you’re providing professional care. When I finally met the doctor, I was told they “don’t usually work on lips done by other doctors.” That’s an absurd policy — especially considering most people have had work done elsewhere. If that’s truly your rule, make it clear upfront so clients don’t waste their time coming in. The doctor even asked the clinic manager for an exception so they could help dissolve my filler, but it was denied. I was then escorted out like I didn’t matter. I’ve never felt more dismissed or disrespected in my life. For context, I’ve spent over $2,000 at their Chiang Mai branch on fillers and was a week away from spending another $8,000 on plastic surgery through their brand. You’d think a loyal client spending that much money would be treated with a little more care and basic courtesy — but apparently not. This experience made me seriously reconsider my upcoming surgery. The staff at the surgery center shouldn’t be punished for what happened here, but this location’s management absolutely tainted my trust in the brand. If you care about being treated with respect, skip this place. They seem to decide who gets quality treatment based on appearance or some internal bias, and that’s unacceptable in a business that’s supposed to make people feel more confident — not humiliated.
Terrible customer service. No adequate information was provided by the front desk. They were supposed to provide all the information about the treatment, such as what the treatment involves, what benefit it will provide, how long it would take, etc. But nothing was provided until I asked them. When consulting for Ultherapy as well, the doctor didn't explain me anything at all except that I would need 500 lines. Again, I had to ask several questions, which should have been explained in details without the customer having to prompt for these. Once I was out of the consultation room, I was told I would get free treatment of Ultraformer if I had Ultherapy PRIME. What the hell! The doctor should have explained me about Ultraformer during the consultation. Not all free treatment are good! Especially these radiofrequency treatment that can inadvertently cause fat loss and facial asymmetry in the hands of inexperienced dermatologist and under machines that are not US FDA approved. Even when I showed my dissatisfaction of not receiving full information during the consultation, the front desk lady didn't even bother to provide more information. Such a disrespect to customers. Worst of all, while I was sitting at the waiting area for almost an hour, I wasn't even offered drinking water despite this being offered to EVERYONE ELSE. Was it because I was there for free facial treatment provided by Kbank? Every customer is your customer, isn't it? I paid for laser treatment though. I am a serious potential customer for Ultherapy too, but they ruined all of that. Never going back to this place!
I am conflicted about this commerce. On one hand, the service provided was professional, well-priced and exactly as described. On the other hand, though, to get the service, I had to provide not only regular health information but also hand in my passport (!), have a mug shot taken (!) and sign numerous waivers written only in Thai. When I voiced my discomfort with providing more information to them than I do to board international flights, they said it was to confirm my identity. This shows to me that they either did not understand my concern or that they willfully brushed it aside. It's precisely having to provide identify information that is objectionable! Who knows in how many marketing databases I now find myself because of them. I have never encountered so much scrutiny anywhere in the world to get any service (with the understandable exception of financial services) and it makes me uncomfortable. I'm somewhat surprised that these practices are legal, but then again I could have just walked away (I nearly did) when they requested so much data from me. In short, you get quality, professional service at this establishment but you have to deal with questionable intrusions of privacy. Maybe one could insist on getting service without going through the KGB treatment. I'll leave it to others to determine whether this is possible.
