My husband and I had a wonderful four-day stay at Ariyasom villa to kick off our Thailand honeymoon. We chose it for its unique feel of a hidden oasis tucked away amidst the hustle and bustle of Bangkok, and that’s exactly what it felt like. We were amazed by how quiet and peaceful the hotel was, as if the trees above really can cut out the noise of the busy city surrounding it. The grounds are lovely and lush, with lots of birds singing. The rooms are beautifully decorated and comfortable, with lovely views of the gardens and pool. The pool is super refreshing, and made for a great place to cool off and relax midday. The free breakfasts were yummy, and we especially appreciated the fresh fruit juice and strong, delicious coffee. The hotel’s location is very convenient for public transport, with the SkyTrain a short walk away (Phloen Chit station being closest). The hotel is right on a canal, which has a boat taxi, which is super cheap and fun to take! It isn’t a touristy mode of transport, so it might be helpful to ask the hotel staff for advice. We had a local friend taking us around who introduced us to the boat, but once we got the hang of it, it became our favorite mode of transportation. Finally, the hotel staff and owners are extremely friendly, always making you feel welcome and helping with anything you need. We will absolutely stay at AriyaSom Villa again when we return to Bangkok. Thank you for a fantastic experience! :)

We stayed here for one night and paid for an additional night so we could keep a room during the day before our late flight. Unfortunately, our first night’s room was on the ground floor and had a strong smell of mould and damp. It was also very dark, with no natural light, and the small patio looked directly onto a wall at the back of the property. In contrast, our friends had a fantastic room on one of the upper floors, and the following day—when we kept a room until our flight—we were given a charming room overlooking the pool area. The entire hotel feels like something out of a history book, with its grand architecture and the character of a truly spectacular villa. The pool area is like a hidden oasis—quiet, lush, and serene, more like a secluded resort than a city hotel. The Thai massage in the spa villa was a highlight; you can choose between indoor or outdoor settings. I opted for the outdoor massage on the top floor of the villa, with a soft breeze, the sound of birds, and the city feeling miles away. The restaurant was another gem. Genuine Thai food, beautifully prepared and served in the grand dining room with soaring windows (as in the photos). A meal here feels like stepping back into another era, surrounded by elegance and calm.

Magnificent old mansion hotel on the edge of the siam area where Sukhumvit begins, thus the hotel is on Sukhumvit 1 alley. The rooms in the main building are fantastic, in particular the larger ones. I stayed in 3 different ones on my visit because that is the only way I could get rooms for there for the duration of my stay; of those 3 the executive deluxe was the best with the executive suite also being nice. I did not like the studio at all and it is worth the extra for the executive deluxe. the restaurant hotel is vegetarian, mainly vegan, and the food is pretty good though coming from califionia it was not the best, but very good for "meat and rice" South Asia - I sometimes wonder if there is a vegetable shortage when I go out to eat. the pool is also nice and the hotel grounds seems to be 10 degrees cooler than the rest of bangkok. the only thing to really know is that the traffic at Phloen chit and the exit of makanakam expy is terrible and it can take an hour for a cab to get on or off it, so plan your ride to airport with this in mind during the busy rush hours.
