Baan Wang Lang Riverside

What a great find! The location is great, our room was perfect, and the staff was super friendly and helpful! We split our Bangkok trip into two hotels on different sides of the city. We chose Baan Wang Lang Riverside for its convenience. The Prannok pier is only about a 2 minute walk away for the Chao Phraya River Boat, which you can get a hop-on hop-off pass to easily explore many of the attractions along the river. Keep in mind, this boat only runs till like 630pm(?), but, it’s also great that you take a Grab to “Wanglang Apartment” and they drop you off right at the entrance to the market that you can easily walk thru to the hotel. 2 mins The hotel itself is right on the riverfront, so the rooftop, the restaurants, and some of the rooms have the best views! (We chose a smaller room facing the side, and we still had river views from our small balcony). As soon as you come out of the hotel, you are in the middle of Wang Lang Market (popular with tourists on weekends, mostly locals on weekdays)… with plenty of shops to keep you busy for a while. Lots of great cheap eats here!

Our stay at Baan Wanglang was nothing short of exceptional. I planned this trip as a surprise birthday for my mom, and the team truly went above and beyond anything I could have imagined. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such warmth and genuine care—it instantly made the experience feel special. A huge thank you to Khun Nan, Oum, and Pond, who made our stay unforgettable. Their attention to detail, kindness, and thoughtfulness turned what was already a meaningful trip into something incredibly memorable. Every little touch felt intentional and heartfelt. The property itself is beautiful, peaceful, and perfectly situated with riverside views, but what truly sets Baan Wanglang apart is the people. You can feel how much they care about their guests. I’m so grateful for the memories we were able to create here. This was more than just a stay, it was an experience my mom and I will cherish forever. Can't wait to come back!

I had a brilliant stay at Baan Wanglang! I loved being in the middle of the street market so you step out into the buzz of the city – it closes in the evening so I found there was no noise at night. There’s a 7/11 nearby and the ferry pier is also very close. I was travelling alone as a woman and I felt very safe. Also, don’t be put off by the fact that you can’t get dropped off at the door, my Grab dropped me about 30 seconds away, I didn’t even need the car service they offer. The rooftop bar is gorgeous, the food there and in the second-floor restaurant was delicious and the views across the river are amazing, especially at night. I felt very comfortable on my own. The staff are lovely, really friendly and kind, especially the lady on reception the first day, Coke who helped me to my room and had a chat, Tiffy, who helped me sort my payment issues and North who took me to find my missing Grab! Thank you and I hope to be back again :)
