Baanyah Massage & Cafe

This is my personal opinion. I chose this salon based on reviews. I used their body scrub and aromatherapy massage service. After the treatment, I didn't feel quite as good as I'd hoped. And the masseuse kept talking to me… I usually enjoy massages and have tried several salons. This is the first time the masseuse talked so much. I tried to stay quiet and not respond, but she kept adding things to the conversation towards the end of the massage. During the aromatherapy massage, she even said I was too thin and that if I ate more, I would have a beautiful figure. I was there to relax, not to listen to someone talk about their life or have their body analyzed. 😬 I asked for a foot massage afterward because I wanted one and didn't want to change salons, thinking it wouldn't be the same masseuse. But it was the same one! 😬 So I put on headphones, but she still kept talking to me…

Just had a 3 and a half hours' treatment at Baanyah, massage & cafe. A friendly reception welcomed me and asked me to wait for Khun Lek. Really worth waiting for this well skilled Mo Nuad. While I was having a shower, she prepared the sauna cabin, and as soon as it reached the propriate temperature I enjoyed it 2 times for about 15 minutes. Then Khun Lek gave me a fine body scrub and my skin felt like that of a baby. The following 2 hours of the sports' massage were again very skillful, comfortable and relaxing. Khun Lek seems to know every spot of the body that needs to be worked on. Baayah is a place to remember.

A hidden gem that can be found in a small alley - we first tried it out having seen a sign from the main road. Their prices are great with various promotions on LINE and happy hour deals if you go before 3PM. This time I went for the oil massage and the the massage therapist, ba waan, was very attentive to areas of tightness and was able to make me feel relaxed. Another shoutout to P’Khai who was very knowledgable and friendly who gave my mum a Thai massage. This place also does nails and lashes but I’ve not tried it (yet!). Overall would recommend it for its environment, price point and staff.
