What Google reviewers say about CHIANG MAI MASSAGE ONNUT - เชียงใหม่นวดแผนไทย อ่อนนุช
I've been here many times, and if I get a skilled masseuse, I leave feeling good, but the other day I got a terrible masseuse. He had no respect for the customer, and when I was lying face down, he kept his feet pressed against my chest, so I told him not to touch me. He also talked loudly to the staff next to him while massaging my neck, and I had to pay the fee while feeling incredibly stressed. When I left, I glared at him and said "Mae Sabai!" (Good morning!). When it came time to pay, other staff members usually offer a 10% discount as part of a promotion, but this time they repeatedly charged me the regular price. Again, I said clearly, "It's usually cheaper, so what's with this amount?" I was already annoyed with the terrible masseuse, so I told him I would never come to this shop again! At that point he finally gave me the discount and apologized, but he had no manners towards a customer who chose to come to his shop out of so many others. The curtains in the room I was shown to smelled musty, and the conversations between the staff during the treatment were so disruptive that I think there are others who, like me, have been offended and ended up paying for their services. First of all, they need to make sure they don't let in inappropriate staff, otherwise their reputation will suffer. I understand that they might have thought the same of me because there are many tourists, but I'm a resident and a frequent visitor, so it's disappointing.
The shop said the wait time would be about 10 minutes, but in the end, I waited for an hour and still didn't receive service. If the wait time was going to be this long, they should have informed the customer truthfully so they could decide whether to wait or go to another service. They shouldn't make customers sit and wait for an hour. The cleanliness was also unimpressive. The towels used for the foot area were wet and looked old. I don't know what caused the wetness, but it made me feel unclean and I didn't trust the shop's standards. Furthermore, the staff member providing the service had long fingernails that dug into and scratched the customer, causing more pain than relaxation. If they are going to provide a massage service, they should at least maintain their fingernails appropriately for the job. Overall, it was a waste of both time and a negative experience. A massage shop should provide customers with relaxation and cleanliness, not make them sit and wait for an hour, encounter wet towels, and be scratched by the staff's long nails.
Terrible! The shop is also filthy. The chair covers smell terrible; I seriously wonder if they've ever been washed. Sometimes, when I go to the restroom, I come out to find staff reusing old, used tablecloths for other customers. How can someone be so dirty? What kind of owner lets their shop be this dirty? I understand there are a lot of customers, but shouldn't the management and operations be better managed? Does the owner even know how to run their own shop? Why do they let their staff behave like this? Seriously, the management needs to be much better. I don't even want to think about the tea cups they serve; I don't know if they've ever been washed. It's awful. I recommend going to another shop. 0/10.
