"Before I say anything. For foreigners who just came for the massage and not the temple and thus not wanting to pay the 200 baht entrance fee... this is for you. Specially. there is a place right outside of the temple where you can get a wat pho massage. It's literally right outside, in ta tian, with no lines. And you'd get the same massage there. With no fee. Most of you could've literally saved that 200 BAHT fee you keep complaining about if you just explored even a little bit. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜 Ok my review. I love temples and this was no different, tho I came with the specific intention to get a massage... And play with the cats! :D the Siamese are the most friendly and less skittish of the cats and the blacks cats but I couldn't find any that day. I came in a bit later in the day as my classes ended at 16:00 they were only able to squeeze me in for 30min and gooodd lawddd if you told me that was 30min I wouldn't believe you. It was sooooo good!!! I took notes in my head about how to make a good 30min routine it was that good. My back felt so much better! (We focus on my back as that was my main complaint) Tho I will remind people that a massage takes time and you can't really expect a massage therapist to be able to get rid of all your stiffness especially if you were as stiff as me (I may be small but I am STIFF!) Most people complain about wait time but like, bro, you can explore the temple in that time! All you really need to do is to come back 30min before your turn confirm you still want it and wait then! I had a 2hr wait but I was totally fine with it because unlike some people in the reviews I enjoy the temple and all of its art and history. Tldr: if you like temples, massage, and cats, go into the temple and pay that 200baht that is used to restore and maintain the temple. If you don't care about anything aside from a ✨wat pho massage✨ walk around ta tian, there's one right outside where you don't have to pay the damn fee. Enjoy these cute kitties!"

"We went here on a late Tuesday night and the area was very busy very crowded and very fun! We were able to walk in and get an hour foot massage for two people for a price that I could’ve never imagined to pay because it was so economical! This staff was so friendly. The environment was awesome in the massage our great! My feet and legs felt so good after and they even threw in a free shoulder and neck massage for 10 minutes. I would definitely recommend going! When I was before they even give you a massage, they wash your feet and I have never had that done anywhere not even in the states when getting a foot massage done."

"After reading the Google reviews, my partner and I chose to get our first Thai massage here. My partner prefers a lighter massage and communicated this to the person on reception beforehand, and was assured his masseuse would be told. I prefer a harder massage but being new to Thai massage, I was a bit nervous about either the masseuse going too hard on me, or going too soft because of my partner's request...no need to have worried, we both had great experiences! We were massaged in the same room so I was able to tell that my partner's masseuse was going lighter on him. At the start of mine, my masseuse told me to tell her if I experienced any pain and she checked on me constantly throughout and was very communicative. We even had a giggle because I clearly had no idea what to do throughout it but she guided the massage well. This place is a little bit pricier than places around it but as a Thai massage newbie, I'd rather pay extra to know I'm in safe hands with a professional who communicates well. It was also a lovely clean facility, highly reccommend!"

"I have mixed feelings about this place. I first came here for a massage the day before, and the massage was actually very good. That positive experience is the reason I returned the next day to use their hair salon. Unfortunately, the hair salon experience was very disappointing and felt unethical. I asked for a simple root touch-up and a basic trim. I was quoted around US$60, which already felt quite high for a very average, non-luxury hair salon in Thailand, but I agreed. Once the service started, the issues began. After applying the color and during the wash, I was told they wanted to add “vitamins” to my hair for an extra US$15. I clearly said no. Then after the wash, I was told that the haircut would be another US$15, even though I was originally told the price included both the root touch-up and the trim. When I questioned this, they claimed the front desk staff “didn’t know” because she was new. I asked them to show me the price list. At first they didn’t want to, but when they finally did, it became clear that I was right — the price I had been charged was not even for a root touch-up, but for a full color, meaning I was already being overcharged. I also noticed they were doing similar upselling tactics to other clients, adding unnecessary services in the middle of appointments without clear consent. Overall, it felt like a bait-and-switch / skimming business practice, which is very disappointing. Massage service: Good Hair salon: Not honest, not transparent Because of the lack of transparency and ethical pricing, I do not recommend using their hair salon, even though the massage itself was decent."

"I have visited massage shops all over Thailand, and most of them have provided excellent service. I have also been to this shop more than ten times. Because I had such good experiences in the past, I decided to come back again. However, during this visit, I was assigned to a young male therapist. From the very beginning, he was extremely rough and aggressive with the massage. From my feet all the way to my head, not a single part of the session felt comfortable. Instead, it was very painful. Even though I asked him several times to be gentler, nothing changed. This was by far one of the worst experiences I have ever had. It has been a week since the massage, and I am still suffering from pain and soreness. I did not feel even 1% relaxed after the session. It was truly terrible. The therapist was a man wearing a name tag that said "EX" on his chest. I would 100% recommend avoiding this therapist if you visit this shop."

I’ll start with the negatives first: - you will change in a small corner behind curtains with nothing to hang your stuff son it isn’t convenient at all. - you might end up in between two other persons on mats with no curtesy curtains Now for the wow positives: - we did not have an appointment and only waited a few minutes - the staff was super friendly - the little biscuit after the massage 🤪 - simply the best massage I ever had. “Mr Ho” my masseur was exceptional, knowing exactly where and how much press. The whole experience was a succession of “ouch this hurts… oh wait … oh my … damned this is good!”. I do not know how to explain why the initial pain was systemically superseded by this wow effect!"

"This massage shop is hidden away at the end of a side street. We were just randomly looking for a massage shop, like most places. Initially, we planned to go to a temple by the river for the Chao Phraya River atmosphere, but it was getting late, so we changed our minds and walked around to this shop with reasonable prices. At first, we were surprised to see a man sitting at the counter, so we asked if the masseuses were women. Based on my experience with massages at many places, this one was excellent. The pressure wasn't too strong, not too light. I had been lying on the massage table and suddenly my knees were aching – probably from walking around doing merit-making all day. The masseuse massaged me until the pain disappeared. In just one hour, she massaged my whole body – it was amazing!!! My daughter even lost her earring during the massage. The masseuse found it and ran after us across two streets to give it to her. So impressive!"

"I booked a 90-minute session for 700 Baht – 60 minutes foot massage, 30 minutes head & shoulder – and it turned out to be one of the most powerful body experiences I’ve had in Bangkok. My therapist, Ulai, carried a calm yet deeply skilled energy. The foot massage was grounding and comforting in one of those big armchairs, and when she guided me to the massage bed for the second part, the session expanded into much more than “just head & shoulders”: it became a full back treatment. I felt areas being opened and released that I didn’t even know were blocked. It was professional, intuitive, and carried a flow that went far beyond technique – the kind of massage that touches both body and subtle energy. The only thing that felt slightly unbalanced was that the actual head massage part was a little short, and the atmosphere after my session turned louder when more guests arrived. Also, the bathroom facilities could be improved (no toilet paper, no towels or paper for drying hands). Still, the overall frequency of the place was deeply nurturing – relaxed, authentic, no glossy spa façade, but the kind of honest Thai massage energy that restores and resets you. "I've had hundreds of massages, but most places around here don't stay open late. Since this place is below Mon Nom Sot and stays open until 10 PM, I came here. To start with the conclusion, this place isn't very good. It would be better to just buy toast at Mon Nom Sot. Of course, the person who massaged me might have been incompetent or we might not have clicked, but right after the massage started, a local woman came in and talked with the masseuse until the massage was over. There was absolutely no communication. It felt like a soap opera on a weekend, and they kept talking. Since I couldn't understand what they were talking about, it was even more annoying lol. Also, they applied too much Ya Mong balm during the foot massage, so my skin stung unbearably. When I asked them to wipe it off, they wiped it off and immediately applied oil. Even though I told them not to, they insisted it was fine and kept applying it lol. I told them it wasn't fine. And since they dozed off several times during the massage, I thought, "Ah, when you get massages in Bangkok, there are often places that just don't suit you." If anyone reading this is wondering why the ratings are good but they didn't like it, and they were looking at Google Maps reviews, please shake your head. I might nod."

"Absolutely exceptional massage experience! I recently visited this massage place (it seems newly opened), and I was genuinely impressed from the moment I walked in. The space is very clean, tidy, beautifully maintained, and smells amazing. The interior feels warm, calm, and welcoming right away. The staff are incredibly professional and friendly, and they speak very good English, which made everything easy and comfortable. The prices are very reasonable, and when I visited they had an additional 25% promotion, which was a lovely bonus. I had two treatments: a full body scrub and a Thai massage. And honestly—wow. I’ve had Thai massages in several countries before, but this one was on a completely different level. I experienced the deepest sense of relaxation I’ve ever felt after a massage. My entire body was fully relaxed in a way I’ve never experienced before, even though I’ve tried many different types of massages in the past. My therapist, I believe her name was Jit, was absolutely amazing. She was very considerate, polite, strong yet gentle, and extremely skilled. She truly deserves all the praise. At the end of the session, they served chrysanthemum tea and mango sticky rice—both were delicious and such a thoughtful touch. If I had more days left in Bangkok, I would honestly come here every single day for a massage. Very confidently, this is a five-star experience from me, and I highly recommend it!"

"I booked this hotel expecting a 5-star experience, but what I experienced was far from it. I was initially placed in a very poor room, full of mosquitoes. I reported this issue before going out, and a staff member was polite, acknowledged the problem, and told me he would notify the team and that it would be taken care of. Unfortunately, nothing was done. When I returned, the room was in the exact same condition, and I eventually had to kill the mosquitoes with my own hands, which is completely unacceptable for a hotel claiming to be 5-star. On top of that, the first room was extremely noisy. I was placed next to a family with children screaming constantly and throwing things against the walls, making it impossible to rest. I was then moved to a second room, but the situation did not improve. This room was also very noisy, with a loud machine running 24/7 nearby, and during the night, there were cats fighting outside, which completely prevented me from sleeping. When I asked to change rooms, I was told it could be done the next morning, but there was no coordination between the evening staff and the morning team, forcing me to explain everything all over again. Although I did eventually change rooms, the experience had already been seriously affected. The facilities and equipment are old and outdated, far from what you would expect from a luxury hotel. There was no welcome drink or any meaningful attention to detail, which was surprising for a hotel marketed as 5-star. The only positive aspect of this stay was the breakfast staff and the person who helped with the luggage, who were kind, professional, and attentive. Unfortunately, their efforts were not enough to compensate for the overall experience. I spent two extremely bad nights and barely slept. This hotel does not deliver a 5-star experience and feels misleading compared to what is advertised."

"Absolutely avoid this place. You think it's a school, so it'll be good? Not at all. They give you a form to fill out at the beginning that they don't even show to the masseurs/masseurs. It's just a money-making machine... I counted 16 mattresses in the same room, two air conditioners blasting, and the room temperature was only 16/17°C at most... I came specifically because my sciatica is raging from all the walking... She didn't push me at all... So you pay a lot for subpar service... This massage center is a disgrace. Maybe the one inside is good, but this one is definitely one to avoid... Oh yeah, you change in the toilets, and with 40/50 clients an hour, you're bound to be busy... I've had massages where they forced a "boom boom" massage, others where they didn't necessarily know what they were doing... But I really mean it, this was awful, absolutely awful. If you find something less effective in Bangkok, I'll pay for your session."

"It took 1 hour and 30 minutes for a simple acrylic removal with no polish. Instead of filing it down and soaking my nails in acetone before filing again, she filed my nails and applied the tiniest amount of acetone to a tiny piece of cotton and applied clips…. This meant she had to reapply a new tiny piece of cotton 3 times to each nail because it wasn’t dissolving. As you can see my cuticles weren’t taken care of and she didn’t file it after I asked her to make it shorter. I was seated at 10.55pm and left at 12.30am. I was seemingly overcharged as well, I paid 500 baht for just a removal and the manicurist quoted the lady 200 baht for hers. Very disappointing experience after reading the reviews and speed walking to get there before closing. Otherwise, the staff are nice and the salon space is nice and they’re very hygienic."

"I had PVC nails placed on Wednesday and by Saturday morning 6 of the nails have already broken off. When the first one fell off on Thursday, I assumed I was being too rough with handling items in my regular day of activities and got it replaced at another salon (left index finger). This salon did a far better job of securing the PVC nail and aligning it to my nail bed. More nails fell off that evening and the following day. I’m sensitive about getting my nails done as the nail beds are small from years of a nail biting habit when I was younger, and I told the nail technician at Kanya that I would need the PVC extensions to be shorter than usual to adjust for what would look aesthetically pleasing for my hands. This seemed to really stump her - she struggled to file my nails into an oval shape and I had to ask for corrections in multiple places. She also did not cut back my cuticles and placed the PVC nails below them - this looks unnatural, not suited to the actual full size of my nail beds. I don’t typically post negative reviews but this really was tremendously disappointing — I have to get these fully redone just four days later. ** EDIT: I do appreciate the response from Kanya's owner. I don't expect a refund for this service. The nail technician who was working on my nails was very kind and professional, and I was her last appointment of the day. I simply would appreciate some notification to customers if nail technicians don't feel confident to meet the request made of them, or are in training. I would have likely still gone ahead with the service even if I was told this. I would feel differently about the outcome though."

"A good professional massage. I looked through Google map reviews and decided this was the place for a Thai massage. I walked over there at about 8:00 in the evening. My reception was a little chilly, but I requested a 60 minute Thai massage and emphasized that I wanted a good massage and a strong one. That's what I got. I'll likely be going back to see Ni for a two hour massage. There were some things that I didn't really like. The massage was good but it lacked some of the more intense stretches that I've had at other places. Also, my belongings were kept in a basket outside the curtained in massage area. I was a bit uncomfortable with that. The massage could have been a bit more focused. The masseuse was listening to something in her earbuds, chatted a bit with coworkers and the massage wasn't quite symmetrical. Still, much better than the average massage. I'll take it with its imperfections."

However, the massage therapist lacked concentration, constantly checking her watch, sometimes walking to attend to other clients, sometimes going to the restroom. She had to go greet other clients, and the receptionist disappeared upstairs to the second floor, not coming down when called, leaving me waiting for my massage. This happened repeatedly during the two-hour massage. Urgent improvement is needed."

"On the evening of February 10th, 2026, I experienced neck pain and went for a one-hour massage (including deep tissue massage) for 300 baht. This was my first time at the shop. Initially, they provided slippers to wear inside the shop. There was a restroom and changing room at the back, with lockers for valuables and a foot-washing area with lime water. I had a massage from an older masseuse, from Isaan, who was very skilled at deep tissue massage and pressure point manipulation. She even gave me an extra 10 minutes of massage. The next morning, my neck was in so much pain I could barely turn it. After the massage, I could turn it left and right. After the massage, I was offered ginger tea. The shop was comfortably air-conditioned and offered a scan-to-pay system. Upon returning to my Lumpini condo, my pain had completely disappeared."

"By far the best massage parlor/masseuse in all of Bangkok and Thailand. Massages are always a bit hit or miss depending on who you get next, but she was absolutely amazing! She massaged me twice – once a foot massage where I fell asleep completely relaxed, and a Thai massage where I slept like a baby the following night and had the best sleep I've had in years. No one has ever hit the right spots so well and so precisely as she did. For me, an authentic Thai massage is one that does hurt, but it also relaxes you and almost puts you to sleep. Unfortunately, I've forgotten the Thai masseuse's name, but it definitely starts with an S, if I remember correctly. Next time I visit Thailand, I'll probably book a taxi to see her and get a massage. Simply top-notch!"
