The business district, which means lunchtime massage, after-work gyms and hotel spas at the top end. Busiest on weekdays, calm on Sundays.

"Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok — one of Bangkok’s most iconic and highly rated luxury hotels: 🌟 Overall Impression Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok is widely regarded as a benchmark of luxury hospitality in Thailand’s capital. Steeped in history (opened in 1876 as The Oriental), it combines timeless elegance with modern comforts and enjoys a prime riverside location on the Chao Phraya River. 🛏️ Rooms & Suites • Rooms are spacious, elegant, and richly furnished in a classic British East Indies aesthetic with teak, pastel tones, and fine textiles. • Many rooms offer Chao Phraya river views or garden vistas. • Suites can be impressively large and luxurious, some with private conservatories and bespoke amenities. • Bathrooms often blend classic and modern touches, though some guests note a slightly traditional feel. Bottom line: Rooms are elegant and comfortable with a timeless charm — a blend of historic character and contemporary luxury. ⸻ 🍽️ Dining & Bars This hotel excels in culinary variety with 11–12 top-tier restaurants and bars spanning global and local cuisines: • Lord Jim’s: Famous seafood and buffet experiences. • Le Normandie: Two-Michelin-starred French fine dining (renowned globally). • The Bamboo Bar: Iconic jazz bar and award-winning cocktail lounge. • The Authors’ Lounge: Classic afternoon tea experience. • Sala Rim Naam & Terrace Rim Naam: Authentic Thai cuisine accessed by hotel boat. Guests often highlight the quality and presentation of food — especially brunch and buffet experiences — though some note that food and drink prices are high, as expected for this level. ⸻ 💆♂️ Spa, Wellness & Facilities • The Oriental Spa is a standout, set in a restored teak house with luxury Thai and Western treatments, and frequently cited as one of the best in the city. • Fitness & wellness amenities include a gym, yoga/aerobics studio, Muay Thai training, tennis courts, and two outdoor pools. • Complimentary classes such as yoga are often included for guests. ⸻ 📍 Location & Setting • Spectacular riverside location with views and easy access to river transport and BTS Skytrain (Saphan Taksin). • The shuttle boat to local attractions and facilities (including the spa across the river) adds charm and convenience. • A short ride to key Bangkok sites and shopping areas. ⸻ ✨ Service & Experience • The service is frequently singled out as exceptional — attentive, warm, and highly professional. • Guests say staff go above and beyond to help, from check-in to dining and excursions. • Even non-guests flock here for afternoon tea or drinks because of its legendary reputation. ⸻ 👍 What Guests Love • Legendary service and attention to detail. • Elegant and characterful rooms. • Fantastic dining and bars (especially The Bamboo Bar and afternoon tea). • Award-winning spa and wellness options. • Stunning river views and prime location. What Some Guests Note • Very premium pricing (rooms, dining, spa). • Traditional decor might feel classic rather than ultra-modern to some. ⸻ 🏁 Verdict Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok remains one of the top luxury hotel choices in Bangkok — beloved by both travelers and hospitality experts. Its combination of historic elegance, world-class service, riverside charm, exceptional dining, and robust facilities make it a standout stay for special occasions, luxury travel, or anyone seeking a truly memorable Bangkok experience. "My stay at Capella Bangkok was, overall, defined by an exceptional level of care and attentiveness from the team. I spent a full week at the property, and throughout that time there was a consistent sense that no request was too small, too unusual, or too complex. Every need, whether routine or highly specific, was handled with genuine willingness and precision. The Cultureists and Curators in particular were outstanding. They were always accessible via WhatsApp and assisted seamlessly with everything from restaurant reservations to transport arrangements and general planning. Their responsiveness felt effortless, yet highly intentional. One moment that stood out was when I encountered an issue outside the hotel with a tuk-tuk driver attempting to take advantage of the situation. The team immediately stepped in, asked me to return inside the hotel, and handled the matter directly and professionally. That level of protection, ownership, and calm intervention is rare. What impressed me most, however, was their patience. No matter how many questions I had, and there were many, they remained fully engaged, present, and eager to help. There was never a sense of fatigue or disinterest, only a continued willingness to assist. That culture of service is what truly defines the property. In terms of facilities, the gym itself was very good, well designed, pleasant to use, and a strong addition to the hotel. That said, I was disappointed by the lack of proper personal training support. The PT service I was given fell well below the level I would expect from a hotel of this caliber, and I did make a complaint about it. For me, that was a real missed opportunity. The spa was also very good. I liked the facilities, the treatment experience, and the quality of the masseuses. But to be completely honest, my expectations were extremely high. Given Capella’s reputation, and given that this is Bangkok, I expected it to be the best hotel spa I had ever experienced. It was certainly very good, but it did not quite reach that level for me. Under other circumstances I would have considered it impressive without hesitation, but the profile of the hotel naturally raises the bar. One of the standout highlights of the stay was breakfast. This was, without question, one of the strongest breakfast experiences I have had in any hotel. The buffet itself was very good, though not the most visually spectacular I have seen. What truly set it apart was the menu and the execution. The à la carte offering was exceptional, one of the best breakfast menus I have come across, and everything I tried was extremely well executed. Being seated right by the river elevated the experience even further. The setting was beautiful and deeply enjoyable. With a few refinements to the music and perhaps a slightly more intimate seating arrangement, it could become nearly untouchable. The pool was also a lovely escape. It is not especially large, but that did not bother me. I found it relaxing, well positioned, and thoughtfully designed. The marble in the pool gave it a distinctive and memorable character, and the overall layout worked very well. More broadly, the landscaping and the property as a whole were beautifully done. The room itself was one of the best I have stayed in. The view was exceptional, truly one of the best hotel views I have experienced. I especially loved the veranda and the cabana, which added a special sense of openness and retreat. The closet was spacious and very well organized, and the bathroom was strong overall. The shower area, however, was the one part I felt could have been better. Still, the sink area, the room design, the bed, and the overall atmosphere were all excellent. Overall, what stood out most was the hotel’s service culture, professionalism, and consistency. While a few details could be improved, Capella Bangkok remains a highly impressive property with several truly memorable strengths."

"My biggest regret during this session was having 2 arms and 2 legs, because while this young man was awkwardly working on one side, I already knew exactly what was coming for the other. About 90% of the massage was just two thumbs. Two thumbs on my spine for what felt like 15-20 minutes, then somehow another 10 minutes on my temples and scalp… again with the exact same 2 thumb routine. 0 technique, 0 skill, 0 variety. Just repetitive thumb pressure with no flow, no precision, and no real understanding of what makes a good massage. I came in hoping to relax and left feeling more tense than when I arrived. Edit for your response: I know exactly what I booked: a relaxing oil massage. That was never the issue. What your response completely avoids addressing is why “relaxing oil massage” apparently means pressing two thumbs directly along my spine for most of the session with almost no variation, no technique, and no understanding of body flow. Oil massage is not an excuse for poor technique. I did not expect stretching or traditional Thai pressure. I expected skill, balance, and actual massage competence. Repetitively digging two thumbs into someone’s vertebrae is not a “program misunderstanding”. Your reply feels just as off-topic as the massage itself: instead of acknowledging the specific issue, you responded to something I never complained about. Being “licensed” or “highly booked” does not change what happened during my session. My review was based on the real experience I had, not on your staff résumé."

"Highly Recommended – Urban Thai Spa in Silom is an absolute gem! My wife and I recently visited Urban Thai Spa in Silom, Bangkok, and it was one of the best experiences we’ve had during our trip. We both booked the 90-minute Aroma Massage, and from the moment we walked in, we were completely impressed. The spa has a beautiful, modern yet warmly Thai ambiance – calm lighting, gentle traditional music, and a wonderfully relaxing scent in the air. The staff were incredibly professional, friendly, and attentive. They explained the process clearly and made sure we were perfectly comfortable throughout. The aroma massage itself was pure bliss. The therapists were highly skilled, using the perfect pressure and beautiful aromatic oils that left us both feeling deeply relaxed and rejuvenated. Every knot in my back melted away, and my wife said it was the most refreshing massage she’s ever had. The 90 minutes flew by, and we left feeling light, refreshed, and glowing. Everything was spotlessly clean, the facilities were excellent, and the service felt genuinely caring – true Thai hospitality at its best. The location in Silom is also super convenient, right in the heart of the city but still peaceful once you're inside. We can’t recommend Urban Thai Spa enough! If you’re in Bangkok and looking for a top-quality, soothing massage experience, this is the place. We’ll definitely be back on our next visit. Thank you to the wonderful team for making our afternoon so special! 🙏"

"I rarely leave negative reviews, but unfortunately I felt compelled to share this experience. The massage therapists were kind, professional, and provided a good service. My complaint is specifically about the receptionist. My companion and I requested a package consisting of one hour of foot massage followed by one hour of Thai massage. When the credit card machine showed a charge of only 800 THB (which appeared to cover only the foot massage for two people), we politely clarified that we wanted one hour of foot massage first and then one hour of Thai massage. The receptionist responded by raising her voice and saying, “You want only foot massage first, no?” We calmly explained again that we wanted the foot massage followed by the Thai massage. However, she continued speaking to us in a raised and unfriendly tone. Her reaction genuinely startled us. Rather than feeling welcomed as customers, we felt uncomfortable and embarrassed. Because of the way we were spoken to, we ultimately decided to proceed with only the foot massage instead of the additional Thai massage we had originally planned to book. It is disappointing because the therapists themselves were lovely and provided good service. However, the receptionist’s attitude significantly affected our overall experience. This is actually the first negative review I have ever left, which is why I felt it was important to share. I hope management will address this issue, as customer service at the front desk is often the first impression guests receive."

"Booked a spa package for me and my partner (body scrap, massage, facial). It was a great 3.5 hour experience from entering the spa until saying goodbye. High professionalism, well thought through journey, good communication (and English skills), organized, friendly and attentive service. Online pre-booking and email communication for a special request worked great. Thanks to Paula and Nok, our two masseuses. It was a pleasure! What would have made the experience even better for us: - A thicker sheet or planket for the body parts which are not being scrubbed. It can get really cold in an air conditioned room (especially when lying wet on massage bed for 30 minutes). - While having the face mask on (during facial), instead of leaving the room, the masseuse could do a hand massage or something more active. This is personal preference and I know it can’t be expected. Just what I am used to. :) - Shower water can get boiling hot. When the shower got prepared (to wash off the scrub), one of the two showers were set to (only) hot water. It was so hot that it was barely possible to touch the tap to change the temperature. I appreciate the preparation and switching on the water beforehand but I recommend checking the water temperature before you let the customer get in. Only one of us had the water set to boiling hot. The other one was perfect. However, nobody’s perfect but you are really close to it. Next time I am in Bangkok, I will come again. Thank you!"

"I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience genuinely disappointed me. From the moment we walked in, everything felt rushed. We were immediately told to choose an oil, as if someone was chasing the staff. There was no proper consultation whatsoever. We booked the Deep Sleep Warm Oil Massage, yet no one asked about our preferences, areas that needed extra attention, previous surgeries, medical conditions, allergies, or whether there were any areas that should be avoided during the massage. These are basic standards that every professional wellness spa should follow. The massage bed was also extremely uncomfortable—hard and painful to lie on for 90 minutes. Ironically, after my treatment I noticed another room with a much more comfortable massage bed, which made the experience even more frustrating. The treatment itself was so poor that I couldn’t even continue with my first therapist. I actually stopped the session and told the staff, “I came here to relax, not to suffer.” Unfortunately, almost every aspect of the experience was disappointing. What surprised me the most is the reputation this place has. Based on all the praise and recommendations, I expected a premium wellness experience. Instead, I received a service that was below the standard of many ordinary massage shops I’ve visited. I’ve experienced massages in everything from local massage parlors to luxury five-star spas around the world, so I believe I have a fair benchmark for comparison. Sadly, this was nowhere near the level I expected. The price simply does not reflect the quality of the service. Spending 90 minutes here felt like a waste of both my time and my money. I genuinely thought I had chosen one of the best wellness experiences in Bangkok, but it turned out to be one of the biggest disappointments of my trip. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously because the service, professionalism, consultation process, and overall guest experience need significant improvement. At its current standard, I cannot recommend this place."

"The massage parlor across from the hotel was very comfortable. I tried a foot massage this time, and the masseuse was very professional and gentle. The price was reasonable. I couldn't have a cup of tea because I was rushing to catch my flight, but I'll definitely go again next time."

"This was by far the worst massage experience I've ever had. The building and the premises are very run-down and offer absolutely no atmosphere for relaxation. The massage room was far too cold because the air conditioning was cranked up to full blast – making relaxation virtually impossible. The massage itself was completely uninspired and felt very unprofessional. The masseur clearly had no idea about massage techniques; there was neither structure nor any feeling for what he was doing. Overall, I had the feeling that he was simply killing time. Particularly unpleasant: At the end, I was actively asked for a tip, even though the service was in no way impressive. I found that very inappropriate. Conclusion: Absolutely not recommended. A complete flop for me – I will definitely never go there again."

"I brought my dad in for a massage and booked one for myself too. We both had the 90 minute aroma massage and it was such a lovely, relaxing experience. The space was calm and welcoming, and everything felt very professional. My massage with Kun Oy คุณอ้อย was amazing, and my dad really enjoyed his massage with Kun Sauy คุณสวย. We both left feeling refreshed and relaxed. Both therapists were both wonderful and made our experience so enjoyable. Exceptional customer service. We will definitely come back! Highly recommend! Special thanks to Kuhn Bas คุณบาส for the information and for preparing everything ahead of time to make the experience smooth for us. The receptionists were so warm and welcoming, which made a great first impression."

"I’ve been going to Botanika since 2022. Been to Bangkok 35 times and every visit I stay loyal to this salon but can’t help but notice how bad it gets. 3 times out of 5 massage ladies are unwelcoming and passive aggressive, they don’t listen when you ask to adjust the pressure or speed. The service itself got significantly worse over last 2 years. Yesterday I went for feet and shoulders package and was so disappointed that I’m never coming back. The lady wasn’t nice at all plus the massage was really bad, felt like she was doing it for the first time, it literally just did not feel nice or relaxing. Unfortunately can not recommend this place anymore"

"🌟 5-Star Review for Botanika Massage & Spa 🌟 My family and I recently visited Botanika Massage & Spa on Suriyawong Road in Bangkok, and I couldn’t be more delighted with the experience. The ambiance is serene and inviting, providing a perfect escape from the city’s hustle and bustle. The nail technician was exceptionally skilled and attentive. She took the time to understand exactly what I wanted and executed the design flawlessly. The attention to detail and precision in her work were truly impressive. Additionally, I indulged in their Hot Stone Massage, which was absolutely heavenly. The therapist expertly used warm stones to melt away tension and stress, leaving me feeling completely relaxed and rejuvenated. It was one of the best massages I’ve ever had. The staff were professional and friendly, ensuring that I felt comfortable throughout my visit. I highly recommend Botanika Massage & Spa to anyone seeking top-notch nail services and a truly relaxing massage experience in Bangkok. I’ll definitely be returning for my next pampering session!"

"I had such a beautiful experience at Dahra Spa Silom a few days ago and I’m still thinking about it. The space is incredibly clean and beautifully decorated — you feel calm the moment you walk in. I had researched at least 15 different places before choosing this one, and I’m so happy I did. It was absolutely the right decision. My therapist, Mali (I hope I’m saying her name correctly), was excellent. Her massage technique was strong, precise, and very professional. She really understood where my tension was and worked through it with confidence and skill. At the same time, her voice and energy were calm and soothing, which made the whole experience feel very grounding. The staff were friendly and professional, and everything felt smooth and well-organized. I also have to mention the music. As a DJ, I’m very sensitive to sound and atmosphere. Most spas play the same looping playlist, but Dahra Spa had a varied and thoughtfully chosen selection of tracks. It made a real difference. During my body wrap, the music helped take me into a deep meditative state and elevated the entire experience. I left feeling refreshed, reset, and genuinely happy with the results. I will definitely return. Highly recommended."

"I stayed at the Quarter for one month. The only thing 4 star about this place is the staff and it’s location. The hotel was taken over by UHG sometime ago, it’s a shame that the 1.6 million baht profits hasn’t been spent on improving some of the rooms. I booked a one bedroom ‘deluxe suite’ to the tune of almost 70,000 baht for the month. The only 'deluxe' thing about this room is my macbook, booking my next month somewhere else. I was going to stay here 2 months but I'm not that stupid..... Imagine my horror when opening the door to my room to be greeted with one table and two very old wobbly dinning chairs, a small office desk and one more wobbly dinning chair to sit and work. The table is too high and the chair too low, so using a laptop? forget it. The state of the 'office desk' for a 'deluxe suite' pmsl. No sofa, no armchair, a very small kettle and no where to sit and relax. Hot water? luke warm... Thank you to the reception staff who listened to me and found me a room with at least a window seat. A very tired set of three of cushions in a window bay. I don’t think the windows of this hotel have been cleaned for many years. Even sitting in the window bay one couldn’t watch the tv as it’s view obstructed by a very large concrete pillar. The room is spacious but it’s very very tired. Perhaps more expensive rooms are better appointed but for the money I paid I would be better off with an Air b+b next time, I would have got a lot more comforst and a lower price. My bad for not doing more research. The swimming pool is cold and miserable and doesn’t catch any sun. The laundry is old and tired, 2 washing machines, 60 baht for a one hour cold wash. Two old cold tumble driers, one of which hasn’t worked the month I have been here and at one point both were out of action. 80 baht for a 45 minute dry, the temperature is almost cold so you really need to do two dries if you want properly dry laundry. Not great for a long term stay, if there is a queue you can add around 3 to 4 hours to get your clothes washed and dried. If you advertise a 45 minute dry, then set the dryers to actually dry. 160 baht for a proper dry is ridiculous. I chose not to include breakfast as I am a late riser and usually miss it however, on two occasions I chose to pay the 300 baht for a breakfast which I found to be 1 star rated or less. On both occasions I had to clear a table to be able to sit and eat, the choice is very very poor, the only good thing is the egg bar and the coffee machine and a very small choice of fruit. The rest I would not feed to a cat. I was honestly shocked to see a small cockroach swimming along side the fake ham and sausage sitting in lukewarm water. Breakfast here is awful. The staff are the best thing about this place, they are a credit to the Thai people. They can’t do enough to help you. The hotel is stuck in the past. I will visit Bangkok again but I will never stay the the Quarter again despite it’s prime location for Silom, the rooms without even a sofa or comfy chair need improving asap. You can’t expect a guest to have no where comfortable to sit and relax. The dinning chairs in the rooms are about as comfortable as sitting on an orange box. Four stars? No way on earth. At one breakfast I remarked to a chap about how awful the breakfast is, his reply summed it up “who ever gave this place 4 stars can’t count” If you do choose to stay here, check exactly what your room has before clicking the ‘pay now’ button on your phone or laptop…. It’s only a matter of time before the old dinning chairs collapse and you’ll be sitting on the floor. The reception area has an ATM machine and reception will give change for the laundry. The free shuttle service to Silom is handy although I didn’t use it. The 330ml beers in the mini bar cost around 100 baht, the same tins are on sale in tops for 33 baht so replace them yourself before you get charged by housekeeping, or go to 7/11 5 minutes away, where a 500 ml beer is only 50 baht! UHG: Universally Horrible Group."

"SO/ SPA is honestly one of the most beautiful and immersive spa experiences I’ve had in Bangkok. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere immediately felt calming and luxurious, with soft lighting, relaxing scents, and panoramic views overlooking Lumpini Park. It truly feels like escaping the city without actually leaving Bangkok. What makes this spa stand out is not only the design inspired by the Himmapan Forest, but also the overall attention to detail throughout the experience. The therapists were professional and attentive, and the treatments felt deeply relaxing and thoughtfully personalised. I also appreciated that they use high-quality wellness and skincare products, which elevated the entire treatment experience even more. The interiors are stunning and very different from a typical hotel spa — elegant, modern, and almost cinematic in atmosphere. Perfect for anyone looking for a luxury wellness experience in Bangkok, whether for a relaxing afternoon or a full spa day. Definitely one of the spas I would return to again. !!"

"Relief from like eons of back pain from WFH. Take this with a grain of salt this was like my first massage ever. It felt like they guy massaging me knew acupuncture and pressure points, with the perfect pressure applied it relieved a lot of the tension and pain. It’s not perfect, it didn’t fix my back or anything but it was a welcome relief. Worth it, planning on going again tomorrow."

"It's the best... The lady kept telling me what to do, but after chatting via GPT, she told me I had three big stiff neck muscles and that they would all be gone if I came one more time. When she told me to come back, at first I wondered if she was just trying to sell me money, but after it was over... wow, it was a whole new world... Before the session, I planned to just give a 50 baht tip, but now I automatically feel like I should give 100 baht... I'm moving my accommodation a bit further away, so I'll definitely have to come back for a massage soon... It's a place I want to bring my parents to as well..."

"This is the first time l visit prestige massage for male to male massage. I arrived at 1130 on Saturday while the shop just open. I did not make a reservation and the receptionist assigned TON for me. I enjoyed the promotion of extra 30 minutes on top of my 1 hour aroma therapy & another discount on 1 hour Thai massage. Total 2.5 hour massage for very reasonable price of 1550 baht.😄😃😀 I have thai massage first and then change to a private room on 4th floor by using the elevator for aroma therapy. TON is professional for both thai massage and very sensational for aroma therapy. I do not feel being hurt or over-stretched in Thai massage. Also there is no feeling of embarrassment or any prompt for extra manoeuver during oil aroma massage despite the fact that I normally have episodes of body part reaction 🥹☺️🥴. The oil massage was completed with full body relaxation under very comfortable atmosphere. After shower in the private room I thank TON for his professional massage and gave him 400 Baht tips.👋🏻👋👋🏿 Combination of both Thai 🇨🇷 and 💤 aroma massage together is a great experience for me.👍🏿👍🏻👍🏾 I wish I had the chance to visit again but I need to leave Bangkok that day.✈️✈️✈️"

"Today I had the opportunity to enjoy an aromatherapy massage. I was impressed from the moment I arrived by the calm, clean, and relaxing atmosphere of the shop. The staff were polite, attentive, and friendly. The massage pressure was just right, effectively relieving tension in my neck, shoulders, and upper back. The subtle aromatherapy scent left me feeling relaxed both physically and mentally. After the massage, the shop even served warm tea, which was fragrant, refreshing, and relaxing – a truly warm and thoughtful way to end the session. Overall, I was impressed with the service, the atmosphere, and the quality of the massage. It felt like a complete rejuvenation. I will definitely return if I have the chance. 🌿🤍"

"Near the hotel, I found this place before planning my trip; it had great reviews. I booked a time via Line, and the actual experience was truly amazing. The environment was spacious, comfortable, and fragrant. Lying down, I automatically entered a relaxing mode. We opted for a one-hour Thai massage, and we both agreed it was the best. The masseuse's technique was superb, gently and slowly massaging every part of our body, giving us a deep relaxation. After the massage, our bodies felt light and comfortable. I highly recommend this place; it's very affordable and offers great value for money!"

"Absolutely wonderful experience! I visited this massage studio every single day during my stay in Bangkok – sometimes even twice a day! I mostly enjoyed the amazing foot massages, and I also tried the full body oil massage once – both were absolutely incredible. The staff are so kind, caring, and professional; they make you feel completely relaxed and welcome from the moment you walk in. At the end of each massage, they serve a delicious tea, which is such a lovely touch. The atmosphere is calm and peaceful, and the whole place feels very clean and comfortable. I can wholeheartedly recommend this studio to anyone looking for a perfect massage experience in Bangkok. I’ll definitely come back here when I return to the city! 💛"

"We would rate 0 stars if we could. Unfortunately had a very bad experience at 'let's relax' at the Mandarin on a Saturday evening recently. We booked a steam room, floral bath, body scrub and facial but had to cancel halfway through (at the start of the floral bath) without proceeding to the remaining services. An event was on at the hotel and the reverb was so bad and so loud it was unbearable in the room where the services were to take place. To add to the terrible experience when we walked up to the front desk and described the issue, wished to cancel the services that hadn't started and asked for a refund for the remainder (not for the steam and bath which had partly been completed), we were told that we couldn't get a refund. After applying further pressure they further hesitated to refund our money, offered other services (not interested), other locations (leaving Bangkok), and then indicating that it would take 15 days to consider getting a refund. We had to pretty much refuse to leave for an hour and stood around at the front desk and refused to take no before they sorted it out and provided a written email and letter stating that we would get a refund for the services that we didn't proceed with. Unfortunately it's now been well beyond the time that they indicated we would receive the refund and there's been no communication, update or refund in sight. What a terrible experience and appalling customer service. Luckily, given the plentiful options in Bangkok we will certainly not be back again."

"Located a short distance into the alley. The establishment isn't fancy like a spa but homely like massage from ur senior auntie. The person who massaged me did body first then foot. The body was v well done. She was considerate and the strokes were firm. She even asked if I wanted my body to be twisted. However maybe she is tried afterwards, the food massage was very forgettable. However I observed the ladies whom were beside me massaging. All of them had strong fingers and arms and their strokes were all long and firm. Slight con: the chairs a bit worn out. Boss lady is a teochew. And if u speak teochew, chat her up."

"Across the board and criteria, I have to score R3 Life at IPC Tower as 10/10. I called to enquire about their services and received prompt help from Miss Mayya over the phone. The Reception, Outreach and Medicall Staff all spoke excellent English, and they are patient, accomodating with our tight schedule. They are also very knowledgeable and anticipated our comfort. Miss Mayya very helpful in helping us in reaching the location, and Miss Nalin checked in with me on the way so I would not get lost, and even offered excellent travel directions. I was greeted with a very warm reception by Miss Nalin and Miss Korn who explained the procedures and set me up with the relevant paperwork. I get to speak at length with Dr Ploy who help set me at ease by explaining the procedure and even strategize the right procedure and treatment to better meet my needs, while the cost and prices were explained by Miss Korn clearly and transparently. The reception is what i would call "Spa Resort" grade; all my comfort and needs were met, and it does not feel like a medical hospital setting which i know some people do not enjoy. In my rush to get to R3 Life, i did not had time to eat anything, and was therefore pleasantly met with their offered an excellent light menu of refreshments, after which, Dr Ploy and rwo medical staff attended to my procedure and set me at ease for post procedure recovery . it was most stress-free and enjoyable experience, and I would like to thank you everyone for their fine work. i recommend R3 Life greatly for their level of service and care Krop Khun Krap !!"

"I had the opportunity to experience the onsen, and I must say, I was very impressed. The atmosphere was quiet, clean, and relaxing from the moment I stepped in. The staff were attentive, polite, and caring, making me feel comfortable throughout my visit. Soaking in the onsen helped relieve fatigue, relax muscles, and leave me feeling noticeably refreshed. After the soak, it felt like a complete reset for both body and mind. It's the perfect place for those seeking a break from the hustle and bustle, to recharge, and to enjoy true peace and quiet. I will definitely return if I have the chance. Highly recommended! As for the restaurant, Happy Rice, the food was delicious and flavorful, focusing on healthy options. The drinks were very refreshing. After soaking in the onsen, it was a great place to relax and have a meal. YukYik provided excellent menu recommendations. Highly recommend this place for a relaxing day off."

"Silom Sauna provides exceptional value for a relaxing male-only retreat. For a 250THB entry, visitors get towels, shorts, flip-flops, and access to hot/cold pools, steam rooms, a gym, and free-flowing fresh fruit and iced tea. It is a highly-rated hideaway from Bangkok's busy streets. Be aware this is a male-only facility. While shorts are given, many guests sometimes walk around the communal areas unclothed, which is entirely normal here. Cleanliness: for a local sauna and the price, the cleanliness is acceptable. Yes it's grimey, some guys don't know sauna / shower etiquette, towels are ok but don't look clean (bring your own if you're fussy), I saw one guy spitting on the floor. Oh well, it's all part of the experience. Wear the flip flops ! Save yourself from some foot infections. When you reach the counter, you'll be given a locker key, towels, and shorts. You can spend as many hours as you like relaxing. The facility features a hot bath, a fantastic cold plunge pool, a lap pool, and a dry sauna and herbal steam room. Bring personal toiletries for the showers, though basic ones are provided. All you have to do when you're settled in is to go about your own business and relax. Included in your entry fee are unlimited refills of fresh iced tea, water, and freshly cut seasonal fruit plates. If you get hungry between steam sessions, the sauna features a small, on-site counter serving well-prepared Thai dishes. Meals are both cheap, well portioned and delicious, making it a perfect spot to spend half a day eating, sweating, and relaxing without breaking the bank. The pork "pad see ew" in the picture costs 100 Baht because I added an extra egg. It's a must order! Special mention: I appreciate the kindness of the lady at the counter, the staff in the locker rooms and the nice aunty managing the food counter. It's absolute gold for a Bangkok experience. So go visit Silom Sauna."

"I had a wonderful experience here and highly recommend this massage shop. From the moment I arrived, the staff were welcoming, polite, and attentive. The atmosphere inside is quiet and relaxing with clean rooms, calming music, and comfortable beds. My therapist was very skilled and took time to ask about the areas I wanted extra focus on. The pressure was perfect throughout, and she checked in to make sure I was comfortable. I could really feel the tension releasing in my back, shoulders, and legs."

"The staff here provides excellent service. The waiting area is clean, and snacks and drinks are readily available. I was very impressed with the service. However, the car wash staff needs improvement; they washed my car extremely poorly and added more scratches. The mechanics department was also careless, concealing damage and lying. I usually use this service center because I trust them, but on my last visit, I took my car in for an insurance claim and informed the staff that I felt the car swaying while driving, but wasn't sure because I don't drive it often. I asked them to check the rear shock absorbers because the rear wheel had been hit. The staff said everything was normal and there was no damage. However, I felt something was wrong, so I took the car to another place for an oil change and a vehicle inspection. It turned out the shock absorbers were rusted and seized, specifically the one on the wheel that was hit. Ultimately, I had to pay for new shock absorbers, which are very expensive. Even though I was claiming insurance, I should have been able to use that coverage to repair or replace the shock absorbers, but the service center let it become a problem for me. I had to replace them because it posed a danger to my life and my family. Luckily, I hadn't traveled far yet. I'm sharing this in case it's helpful for others who might experience a similar incident."

"The quality of the masseuses at this shop varies greatly, and they're definitely not as good as the ones at the Prince massage parlor next door. Many of them lack both strength and skill. However, I did have a massage once, and the male masseur in the picture was quite strong and didn't go too far. I always tipped him more than 10% of the total massage amount afterward. But just now, after my massage, he told me not to come back to him because he said my tip was too low. In all my years of massage experience in Thailand, this is the first time I've encountered a masseur like this. I know most massage parlors in Bangkok are one-off services, but I really didn't expect this masseur to refuse me future massages because of a low tip. His attitude was so firm! 😂😂😂 In short, I'll never go to this shop again. The male receptionist was okay; he spoke Chinese and his attitude was alright. I never expected the masseur to be like this! 😂 900 baht for two hours (they raised their prices) and no sexual services, I gave 100 baht. I personally felt the tip was quite generous, so to this massage therapist, I hope you get lots of tips from others in the future! I didn't tip him at the end of this massage because it was obvious he looked down on the 100 baht tip. Also, this massage therapist is just strong. His technique is very ordinary. I recommended him to my friend a couple of days ago because of his strength, but my friend said he was terrible. He's strong but unprofessional, just strong. I experienced it tonight and that's definitely true. Hahaha, he had a black face the whole time 🌚🌚🌚 I thought he was just cool, turns out he was upset about the small tip. If you bring up the tip issue the second time, I won't come to you every time I come to Bangkok. Also, wearing a mask the whole time for a massage isn't good for your health 😷😷😷, what an impolite guy!"

"was brought here on our 2nd day in Bangkok by a taxi driver that offered to show us around and had "friends that would give us good deals" Although I thought the price a bit high booked in for later in the week. Once I had the chance to check local prices it appeared to be really overpriced. Opted for 2 one hr massages for me and my wife as we had already paid the deposit (2000 Bhat) and thought it unlikely we would receive a refund. Massage was ok..but afterwards the ladies requested tips of $300-$400 Bhat each which given the almost prices seemed exorbitant. The most concerning thing however is that I had put our sling bags between the Chairs and cupboard will out of the way and we the won't need to be touched. During the massage that had been moved and lay open on on top on the chairs so obviously they'd been gone though, We aren't sure if anything was taken but it was still unnerving and I think anyone using this service should beware."

"I'm usually a regular customer and have always been impressed, but today I encountered a masseuse who was very rude and spoke without any politeness or respect to the customer. During the massage, the pressure dropped, so I asked her to massage harder. The masseuse didn't respond. Instead, she pretended to talk to another masseuse, saying, "I need to borrow your fingers, I don't have the strength to massage anymore." After that, she massaged me unusually hard, as if she were being sarcastic. Especially the head area, which should normally be massaged with less pressure compared to the shoulders. This caused me a lot of pain throughout my skull. I feel that massage therapy is a service job. Masseuses should receive more training in etiquette."

"This is an excellent sauna. The location is a bit tricky to find, but if you follow the narrow road, New Saton Sauna will appear. There's construction going on and various buildings on the premises, but just head straight ahead (the buildings on the grounds are probably related to New Saton Sauna). Payment is after use. (300B) The staff will guide you to a locker, where you'll receive a rental towel and rental shorts. After that, you're free to enjoy. Water and tea are free. You can apparently eat there too, but I ordered delivery via Grab. I also requested dishes and cutlery with the delivery, but they were just dumped into a plastic bag lol.😂 When I was struggling, a sauna staff member lent me dishes and a spoon (truly grateful). I got a foot massage for 300B. The massage room had locals chatting and napping, but I felt right at home and comfortable 😊 ⭐️The facilities are wonderful, but above all, the staff's hospitality is incredible. I don't understand Thai, but they try their best to assist me. I'll definitely go again."

"I’ve lived in Thailand for many years, and this was by far the worst eyelash extension experience I’ve ever had. Last week right after the procedure, I felt some discomfort and couldn’t fully open my eyes. When I asked the staff to adjust it, I noticed several lashes were stuck together and couldn’t be separated. The technician just kept using a lash brush and tweezers to comb them repeatedly, then asked me to check again. A fresh set of lash extensions should have an even, beautiful curl upward toward the eyelid, right? But I could already see some lashes drooping sideways. I told her about it, and again, she just brushed and brushed—at that point, I didn’t even want to say anything more. When I got home and tried to fix them myself, I realized the lashes that were glued crooked or clumped together couldn’t be saved. I got the “Natural 100 strands” set, and now it’s only been one week — my right eye is almost completely bare, and my left eye has lost many lashes too. Also, when they ask to choose the shape and length, they have no samples to show, and the staff didn’t even bother to ask for my preferences until I brought it up myself. Overall, this was the worst lash salon I’ve ever been to in Thailand. The staff all seemed to be Burmese, not 100% sure. But I do recommend going somewhere else."

"They get lots of 5-star reviews and they certainly deserve them. The place is pristine, and what's better than a therapeutic massage after an hour of relaxing onsen? I cannot judge the skills of my therapist as I asked for Thai fusion massage at soft level, and some of the usual pain points were skipped, but all I can say is I wished my first massage ever 10 years ago were like that. Anyway, the place was serene and tranquil, and the trickle of the Onsen water added to the authentic experience. One star was taken off for the location. Best walk 3 minutes from Lumpini MRT to their other shop and let them arrange shuttle for you, the traffic around would annihilate any expectations for a good time. "It was great massage! Actually was the best massage service we’ve got during the trip to Thailand. Price was absolutely reasonable while the therapists have done well for everything. To be honest, the facility was not perfectly modern or new but still did not have any problem with it. Compared to this price, the facility was really good! We made the reservation through facebook. When we arrived there, there were about 8 people waiting ahead of us. Hopefully we have not spent any time waiting but entered the massaging room right after the manager checked that we’ve booked already. Got massage for 1hr 30mins and paid 450baht for the service, 50baht for tip which is super awesome price for us. Therapists were really kind and professional as well."

"I had a wonderful experience at The Absolute Massage Branch 2. The shop is very clean, peaceful, and professionally managed. The therapists are highly skilled, friendly, and made me feel comfortable from the moment I arrived. The massage was excellent and really helped relieve my muscle tension and stress. After the session, I felt relaxed, refreshed, and much healthier. The prices are reasonable, and the service is definitely worth it. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a high-quality massage for health and relaxation. I will definitely come back again when I visit Thailand."

"I frequent various spa parlors around Bangkok and finding the right one with excellent service, professional massage experience, and perfect pricing point is truly like finding a needle in a haystack. This is it. From the genuine smiles upon arrival to professional and careful masseuse techniques, we couldn't find a single flaw during our visit. I'd recommend requesting for "medium" strength as people have different perceptions on what weak and strong massage are like, and then adjust accordingly depending on your personal preference. My partner and I took different treatments (I had a Thai massage and she had the "King & I" oil massage) and we were both very content with it. They truly go the extra mile by personalising the experience and ensuring that we feel comfortable and relaxed while working on our various tensions throughout the body. I couldn't have asked for a better massage. Would highly recommend this rather than the common commercial massage parlors in Bangkok."

"Our family of 4 came here twice during our 5 days in Bangkok and honestly we really enjoyed it both times. The service was excellent and everyone working there was super friendly and welcoming. They always smiled and made us feel comfortable right away. The massage was really good too, very relaxing after walking around Bangkok all day. The place was clean, quiet, and had a nice relaxing vibe. You can tell they really care about the customers. We liked it so much thats why we decided to come back again before leaving Bangkok. Definitely one of the better massage places we tried during our trip. Highly recommend this place if you visiting Bangkok. We will for sure come back next time."

"I have had hundreds of massages in Thailand and today I experienced the worst. I came in for a one hour foot and head and shoulder massage with my girlfriend. The foot wash was the best part. Maybe because I came in a Friday night and the girl had plans after work. It felt like she did not care. The pressure was inconsistent. Sometimes too soft. Sometimes too hard. And she put hard pressure on the wrong places like an elbow in my spine and her hand with the weight of her body on my foot and knee. I actually had to stop her when her body weight was on her elbow and it was in my spine. I do normally really like a strong, deep massage but maybe this girl was inexperienced. She awkwardly moved me astound, dropped my legs after she lifted them - it was so sloppy and uncoordinated. My girlfriend is Thai and told the girl at the desk that it was not a good experience for me but the girl just smiled and said nothing. We had already paid so I guess it was too late. I was really looking forward to the massage tonight but it was so bad I’m not even relaxed. Im actually kind of mad, just before bedtime! I’m sure they have many other experienced masseuses here, and the front desk staff are always so nice and friendly. My girlfriend had a really good massage - we have been here three times and she always has had a good experience. Even my first and second times were really good. But I don’t want to return here after this experience 😔"

"Spending 3 last nights of our holiday in Bangkok in Dear Sunday -- and I cannot emphasize much how glad we are. - Room is super clean (daily housekeeping is available too) and comfy bed, - Facilities and amenities offerred is so spoiling (projector in the room and complete stuff in the kitchen, and extra delicious snacks on festival!), - Location is in very nice neighborhood (foodcourt + 7eleven is just 2minutes walking, couple of minutes driving to chinatown, around 10minutes ride to ICONSIAM, also easy access for cars so getting grab drivers are easy too), - Management is responsive. - They cater our special request for breakfast very well To summarize, very recommended place to stay and we will definitely come back to stay here in our next Bangkok holiday 🫶"

"Excellent massage, very professional. This was a proper massage where they actually massage you! I had a very intelligent man who massaged me thoroughly! I was skeptical at first, but he ended up finding spots that were causing me a lot of pain and actually meaningfully reduced them. I'd really recommend this place. Edit: 🥴 feeling like I got duped because coming back the second time we had two women and they were 🥴🥴🥴🥴🥴 man. That was whack not gonna lie. It was nothing like the first time with the men masseuses we had ☹️ regardless if you're a man, woman, non-binary or otherwise, I recommend getting the massage from the men here. They seem to care more than the women. With the men, they closed the curtains for good privacy. People walking by couldn't see my 🍑 or breasts just out there. But the women had the curtains wide open for anyone to see 😭 it felt very uncomfortable."

"The shop is beautifully decorated in Japanese style, very beautiful and easy on the eyes. The admin who responded to Line messages was quick to respond and provided excellent information. The staff in the shop are also lovely. We booked a private onsen, body scrub, and aromatherapy oil massage. The shop has a room with an onsen bathtub, a shower, and a massage bed all in one room (very private). The room is fully stocked with amenities: towels, facial cotton pads, cleanser, cotton buds, hair ties, hair dryer, body lotion, shower gel, shampoo, everything is provided. They even provide yukata robes to wear (the picture might not look neat because we took them out beforehand). They are very cute. It would be even better if the shop sells them. The massage and body scrub staff (I think their name is Praew) gave a very good massage. The pressure was just right, not too heavy or too light. However, the building is quite old and the escalator was broken and it was so quiet that at first I wondered if the shop was actually there. Overall, this place is very good, good value, and the staff are lovely. I will definitely come back."

"The spa was absolutely fantastic. So attentive, patient and knew what they were doing. From the minute of walking in, the atmosphere was absolutely divine and honestly one of the best experiences I’ve had. I’ve been to morocco where the Hammam was good but the Thai massage beats it 100%. Absolutely fantastic and would recommend!!"

"This was the most disgusting massage of my life! I've been living in Thailand for two years now, and this has never happened to me before. The woman acted as if she'd never learned massage. She simply stroked my skin, occasionally applying pressure. When I asked her to work on my back, she simply elbowed me so hard I thought I'd have bruises. I lay there the whole time, waiting for it to end. I'd ordered a relaxation massage, but this woman was so fast it was unpleasant. And when I started talking to her, I realized she didn't speak English and didn't understand what I was saying. And at the end, during the final back massage, she practically dislocated my shoulder so badly that I left with severe shoulder pain! I don't recommend this establishment; they have absolutely terrible staffing practices and don't even maintain the minimum quality of their services."

"Not near the best massage in Bangkok. We were shocked as how this place got such good reviews..Me and my husband were unlucky to get two really bad ones. My masseuse was talking for 5 min and falling asleep another 10minutes and coughing another minute. I mean I get it that you get tired as the day goes by. It is the job of the owner to allow the masseuse to have adequate rest before the next customer so the quality of massage is the same as all customers are paying the same amount even during midnight.. If you have no prior experience coming here or you do not know which masseuse to choose, please don’t waste your time and money."

"The best massage in Bangkok. I am a frequent traveller to Thailand and am accustomed to the variety of massages from high end hotels to platforms on beaches. Location: a 2 minute walk to the right of Sheraton Riverside in Bang Rak. Across the river (take a river taxi/shuttle) from IconSiam and the Peninsula hotel, on the same side as the Mandarin Oriental and Shangri-la. Price: More than the typical high street. Converted into other currencies it is very reasonable for the quality of the environment and the service. 1 hour foot massage: approx 100dirhams, $38 Canadian. I also had a 2 hour massage with Gua Sha facial which cost approx 300dirhams, $115 Canadian. It was the best experience I’ve had in a spa. Quality: The attention to detail is superb. The welcoming staff, calm atmosphere, beautiful decor, welcome tea and foot wash, provide the perfect introduction to the service you are about to experience. Private rooms with private bathrooms, silk robes, slippers and a bell to let the masseuse know you are ready. My masseuse was knowledgeable and skilled with understanding when and where pressure was needed. I have scar tissue on my knees from surgeries and I can honestly say I had more mobility after she was done. It hurt and was somewhat uncomfortable at times but 100% worth the gained movement afterwards. I was more mobile after my first foot massage than I was after several sessions of physio. I had a total of 3 massages over 4 days, I enjoyed it that much. My masseuse was Nancy, my friend had Annie. We both highly recommended."

"If you're near Silom in Bangkok, please, please, you MUST come to The Adam Massage! I had a foot massage and oil massage yesterday, and now I feel as light as a cloud. I especially want to recommend masseur A! His technique is absolutely professional and precise. • **Powerful pressure:** Every touch and finger pressed precisely on my pressure points, the sensation reaching deep into my soul, yet without any pain that made me want to pull my legs away. • **200% attentiveness:** A is incredibly perceptive, able to detect my most tense muscles and address them thoroughly, unlike some perfunctory, assembly-line service. • **Full of sincerity:** I really must emphasize that A's process was methodical and efficient, with no shortcuts! Every second felt like an opportunity to experience his professionalism and focus; such genuine service is incredibly rare in a bustling area. This was an absolute steal; my previously swollen feet were completely relieved after the massage. I highly recommend specifically seeking out A. If you want to completely relax in bustling Bangkok, this is the only answer! A Hidden Gem in Silom! Best session I’ve had in BKK! If you're looking for the ultimate relaxation in Silom, The Adam Massage is an absolute MUST! I had an incredible experience with their Foot Massage + Oil Massage combo. I cannot recommend Therapist A highly enough. Here is why he is a total game-changer: • Flawless Technique: His pressure was perfect—strong enough to get deep into the knots but incredibly soothing. He knows exactly where the tension is hidden. • Meticulous & Attentive: A was extremely professional and paid attention to every detail. It felt like a truly personalized treatment. • Zero Time-Wasting: Unlike some places that cut corners, A followed every step strictly and stayed focused the entire time. Every single minute was dedicated to my well-being. Hands down one of the best massage experiences in Bangkok. Ask for A if you want a professional, high-quality session that actually works!"

"So disappointed! I read all the great reviews so decided to try it out and it was the worst massage we’ve had in Thailand so far, decide to choose this as our last place before returning home and I wish we hadn’t. The most annoying thing ever was the talking, the ladies massaging us were speaking very loudly and thought THE WHOLE massage. That is so disrespectful and unprofessional, we came to this massage to relax… there was none of that. Also the massage was not even, one of my calves got 10 minutes of attention, the other 0, during the first calf I assume she was deep into a story. The massage was also too rough, few points I was visibly in pain but she was too busy talking to notice. I will say my girlfriend did enjoy her massage and her masseuse seemed more conscious of her talking. So so so disappointed ladies please do better, most reviews are good so maybe this is a one off but I wouldn’t risk it!"

"I visited Honest Clinic for a few stubborn whitehead bumps and fine lines. I specifically didn’t want any Botox and mentioned that I’d still be traveling for another week, so I couldn’t do any laser treatments that would require sun avoidance. The doctor recommended Rejuran, which suited my needs perfectly. The entire process—from the facial cleansing to the painless extraction, numbing, and Rejuran preparation—was seamless and comfortable. While I understand it takes a few more days to fully see the results, the experience so far has been excellent. The doctor was truly honest, offering thoughtful recommendations (and also not pushing treatments I didn’t need). I really appreciated the professionalism and care. I’ll definitely be coming back for more treatments."

"I’ve been doing my facial treatment at wild clinic since January, even before they moved to this new branch at the commons -silom. HARU is my favourite beautician, she speaks English and Mandarin which makes effective communication and she is very professional to suggest which treatment I should go for. Also, she is very details and gentle, I can tell she is really doing her job well and not rushing to finish the treatment. At the beginning, I did Poreless treatment, deep cleanse effect was obvious after the treatment. Once I had some red rash and pain on my face after a week of skin laser , Haru suggested me Rashaway treatment, it does calm my skin and cure the redness, my skin feels not dry as before. Recently I tried Glamourous and Skin high gloss treatment , can’t wait to try the Glass Glow treatment on my next visit!"

"One of the few places we found that let you pay by card without a fuss, massive bonus points just for that. Missus and I came in on a Friday afternoon at 2:30, no queues or waiting, straight in. They have lockers to store your stuff in if you want. Our masseuses were both very good, well practised and organised. They checked on us enough without being bothersome, the temperature was set perfectly, they checked to see if we needed the loo beforehand (the facilities there were all lovely, clean, and well maintained too). Strange little shop, you wouldn't think much from outside but inside it's very well appointed and designed. The massages are a bit more expensive here than some of the high Street places, but the quality was very good, and as I say the location is good, building clean and easy to get to, facilities immaculate. Nice staff, good overall experience, would head here again to check out some of their other massage offerings. I reccomend this place."
